That's more just out of curiosity. Whatever kind of racing you're planning on doing, take it out in stock form (or as close to stock form as possible) before you start to modify. Learn the car, its limits, what you like about it, and where you think it can be improved.

I say "as close to stock form as possible" because if you're going on an actual track then you will want to change out brake pads/fluid at the very least. Wheels and tires can be a good idea initially too, but you don't want to end up with more wheel/tire than the car needs (which really isn't much with the stock power). It isn't bad to learn the limits of the stock tires too though. If you're just autocrossing I'd definitely say to stay on stock wheels/tires for at least your first few events.

Your best bet is to go to the Technical area of this forum, particularly Suspension, Wheels, and Tracking sections, and absorb as much information as you can. Pay particular attention to what's said by the Race Comp Engineering and CounterSpace Garage guys. They know their stuff!

CAI's are generally not worth the cost on these cars, unless you go forced induction. A simple drop-in filter will net you essentially the same gains for considerably less money.

Racing on the track. Thanks gonna take a look at the threads. I was thinking of getting the CAI to work my way to the turbo that's why.

Tomei Unequal length. I have an HKS air filter in the stock box, and I have an Open Flash Tablet for now, until I can go another route next year when I move and can get my car tuned on a dyno.

Sounds like a plan!

Definitely check out those areas of the forums, and ask questions. Everyone is always really eager to help.

Again, I'd drive it/track it as close to stock before modifying. It may completely change what you thought you had planned for the car.

Ditch the amber side markers and get either clear or smoked. Amber clashes horribly with red.

Hallo, I was in Belgium in April. I noticed coca-cola tastes like Dr. Pepper, and bbq sauce is pretty sweet. Your GT86 is the color I was originally dead set on.
