Also, way to entirely sidestep my point about cost. Which at this point, is my main factor.

I understand I won't get that torque dip eliminated, or have a perfect tune for my car, but to save between 600 and 1600, it's an ideal solution for me. I'd spell my points out for you again, but I'd be wasting my time at this point.
well i didn't sidestep it, i've already said the OFH/OFT isn't worth the cost or the wait, and since I've already been discussing price with Koa figured we're good on that.

But i have to ask, If that fancy tablet isn't going to fix the dip, isn't going to give you a decent tune and isn't going to net any real gains. What exactly did you buy it for? are you truly getting your money's worth? Is it truly the ideal situation for you?

and if you come to the conclusion that the OFT isn't ideal, and you have to sell (hopefully you brake even since you bought it used) did you really save anything, or did you just waste your time.

I can data log, like 12 different parameters at a time, optimize my own tune, run a tune that won't give me a check engine light for running a catless header. Worth the 500? Maybe, and I sure as shit can get my money back, or even make some. I can pretty much guarantee you that if I posted it up for sale right now, asking 600 for it (where I paid 500 for it), I'd have it sold by the end of the week.

But as for the ecutek route, and a better header, I don't give a fuck about pulling on some teenager in a minivan, or shaving a couple seconds off a lap time. Especially for 600-1600 more than what I paid for my header and oft. Again, not to mention the inconvenience of travelling out of town For tuning, when I have limited time at home to begin with.

Why are you obsessed with this? We get it, you don't like it, don't think it's worth it, etc. So don't buy it.

you're right, sharing data so that other members may be able to make their own educated choice on the route they want to take with their car is wrong. What in the hell was i thinking

the first rule of buying OFT is you don't talk about any other option.

all things you could of done with open source software without paying for the OFT. I mean if you're really concerned with the end cost there are cheaper alternatives.

and if you don't care about pulling on that minivan (which even when tuned, good luck against them in a straight line) or shaving some time on that hot lap, why even spend the money?

The difference is most ecutek guys dont log thier tune and post it up because they dont have cable, and they dont have access to alter the tune anyway, so they just trust the tuner.

Post up some logs from your next track session or a hard mountain run on a warm day, sometimes what looks sweet on a dyno can not look so good under extended hard load.

Sharing data is one, but you're very close to the extreme of slamming an available option for others to consider. Unlike you, some folks like to tinker with their cars and learn new things. Open source ideology enables tinkering again, just like a timing light and feeler gauge did in the old days.

Share real data about the differences between tuning options and let others make their choices. Your opinions about something you don't own or want to do, you can keep. Your coming off as a lobbyist for the TPP.

Just got an email confirmation from Openflash today. They received their shipment in today and they are shipping off my headers on Monday. Plus they returned my phone call after they emailed me. I can't wait till it comes. Waited since June 4th.

Well I hope they send mine too. I was told a week ago that I was number two on the wait list but no email here. Crossing my fingers.

Finally received shipment from Vishnu. I will be receiving it next Monday, which is about a month wait since ordering on June 4th. Patients is a virtue they say. I will post pics when I receive it.
