he soccer moms in the mini vans have no clue in this world what the car can do. Even the vast majority of the muscle and ricer crowds have no clue what these cars can do. Damn near most of the population of the world have no idea what these cars can do.
So many seem to think that the greater part of the population sit around and read about HP and torque in cars that they have zero interest in. They don't folks, they just don't.
Just us car nerds do that and we are a miniscule and insignificant speck of the people that buy cars.

Had a BMW guy (part of the hellaflush crowd) that almost died trying to redlight race me last week. Guess he doesn't frequent the road because about 3-400 yards past the red light are parked cars and you have to merge left into a single lane or crash into them.

I'm usually a nice driver so I let him get in front of me. Was probably 2 seconds from totaling his car (and probably himself). In the end, I saw sparks flying and scraping sounds. xD Think he learned his lesson.

Definitely more annoyed than surprised. When I owned an RSX (non-Type-S), I had the same sort of thing (just not as frequent (even less power than the FR-S).

Tonight a newer BMW 3 series took off on a light next to me like a retard after I sort of left a little faster than normal and he just barely caught
sight of the highway patrol in the middle of the median sitting there waiting for prey so he slowed down. First week a Evo X came flying up behind me,
revved and lurched forward, then almost immediately turned off into a turning lane. I thought for sure Civics would be trying to instigate something but nothing yet.

They'll show up one day. Always that one beat up Civic driven by a boy racer revving at anything that *looks* fast or is fast.

My typical 'play it dumb' reaction to someone who wants to race:

Yep had si try to race me as he was cruising at 100 on a single lane highway. I passed him doing 110 maybe and as I passed him he geared down so I went to 4th and and safely made it into the correct lane. Was kind of surprised he would do that but should have expected something like that.
