Look in the box. There is a small aluminium plug they include. You pull that box out thats held on by a clamp and put the plug in its place.

Look in the very bottom left hand corner of the pic that shows all the pieces it comes with. That little silver plug is what I'm talking about.

Does anyone elses PLM sound like this..

That ticking/Rattling or tinny noise whatever you want to call it before the idle dips down. That sound drives me up a god damn wall.

That's the sound a header makes...
Thin wall metal will be louder. If you don't like it, go back to stock, or buy a better header with thicker tubing.

Sure, (accepted friend request), I can always use more input. What do you think of my idea, tuning for better VE, instead of tuning for better dyno pulls? Once I get the calculations in a spreadsheet, I can paste logs and rate VE for different areas of the AVCS maps. Besides supercharging, I think it's really the only way to get rid of the torque dip. Judging from the way the numbers bob up and down, I think I may have some turbulence affecting my MAF as well. I wouldn't have spotted that in a dyno pull, because of smoothing and low resolution displays.

Mine sounded like that before I did the cold start fix. If you have an OFT I recommend using @Wayno's xml and tune files to fix cold start, transient lean and rich conditions, timing, and in general, make it start and run better. Then change the AVCS tables to smooth out the torque dip, and get more power from the PLM header. The sound you recorded can definitely be changed by "ignition timing post start", in RomRaider. Trouble is, you can't even see all the tables if you don't have them defined in the xml file. @Wayno has them available in his thread about E85 economy tuning.

Yup. If you're just complaining about the noise at cold start, Kool is right. The timing advance & large amounts of overlap in the cold start idle make it really loud.

@Shady195 You could also just buy a better built header but that's moot at this point. @cdrazic93 LOLOLOLOLOLOL
