1957 Chevy BelAir Convertible 2Door (this is what I learned to drive in)
1969 Chevy Camaro Z28 RS (OK this one can be Orange, with white stripes)
1985 Toyota MR2
2015 Chevy Corvette Stingray

and I'll add one extra, a 1949 Lincoln Continental because I always told my Dad one day I would buy him one for his retirement, but sadly he didn't live to make it quite that far.

I would add all but the BelAir to my list. I'd want a Nomad instead of the BelAir.

After thinking on this question I've come to the conclusion that I'd need at least a 40 car list to have everything I want..

and not a single Ferrari, lambo, or other super exotic shitbox on the list.

Most of mine are classics, minus the Lexus, lol. 1969 Camaro being #1.

Haha I haven't really kept up with prices on these, but here's a 2007 GT3 RS with 13,600 miles that was listed at $105k back in 2010.

http://rennlist.com/forums/997-gt2-g...13k-miles.html

Unless prices have gone up, I would think you could find an 07-08 GT3 RS for under $100k today, no?

If not, I wouldn't shed too many tears if forced to go with a GT4 Cayman

Porsche fucking up the new GT3 made the old ones jump in value - although I don't know if that jump has been sustained.

It was a tough choice for me between those exact two but went with the BelAir for sentimental reasons (it was my parent's only car about 4 years when I was young)

I think if I had a 40 car garage to fill I'd sneak a Lambo in there, picture is the only Lambo I ever want:

But yeah, no Ferraris or Bugattis or Koeniggseggs or Bentleys for me either.

Hell I'd ask for 5 'shitbox' Japanese RWD cars under $10k before I'd ask for that Lamborghini.

We're all crazy.

Same reason the 79 Vette my Dad bought new back in 79. I found the VIN and through some uhm.. maybe not entirely legal methods, I found the current owner. Just need the space, time and money to convince him to sell it and for me to restore it. I'll give it back to him and then keep it after he passes.

I have a similar story, but with an airplane. My wife lost her Dad when she was 12. He owned a '49 Cessna 170 that he restored and used to take her flying in when she was younger. I tracked it down from Maryland to Texas (much easier to do with planes since the tail number doesn't usually change, and its public record).
I've been trying off and on for 20 years to get the owner to sell it to me but he won't budge. Hopefully I'll outlive him!
