yes I definitely will..just to get some idea of what I am looking at... and take pics for reference...probably will get to do this next Sunday.. and post them up for others.. it should work... its going to very close...but everything I have researched says these will work.. all the japanese sites...the blogs...everything...so it will be one of my first priorities..

What do you think will be the close part the 9 inch rim or the 245 kook? If it's the kook we could drop back to a 235. I know the set up is nice stock but I'm wondering how much roll over we will get with sticky tires. Since I have two sets of 225 kooks and star specs. We will find out soon at least with those.

On a side note.. We should have a lot of new options for 2013 in the tire market. The star spec 2 will be here. As long as scca doesn't end up doing that 200 tread wear idea they have been throwing around. I know the tire guys will just restamp the tires but still.

hmmmm...dont' know.. since the spring perch clearly is the issue...I am surprised they didn't bring the perch down the strut .. then you would have gained some clearance as all you had to clear would have been spring..I thought of using Ground controls for the time being...and still might to gain some clearance...that and grinding off part of the perch to help also...

Yeah all the powers to be can't make up their mind..unfortunately ..My letter to the SEB went in Feb...and still have no answer.. I provided them with as much info as I possibly could..clearances...weight... all kinds of info..gear ratio's.. suspension design..comparisons...and yet they sat on their hands instead of being proactive...:/. Tire choices are good..

Interested to hear what kind of weight reduction you'll be getting.

Planning on keeping a diary?

thanks to dsgerbc for taking the pic...FINALLY.. looks like my 17x9 with a 42 and 245's are going to sneak in there.....and my factory option BBS 17x7 53 with a 235/40/17 will work to... For Reference: in the pic, 17x7.5 STi BBS with a 235/40/17 RE11r ....looks like about 3/4 in clearance..or so.. will double check on my own next week...

That is a lot more clearance than we gave the setup credit for. In my es MR2 days we used to barely fit a credit card between the strut tube and the tire on the front.

yep...absolutely...that pic tells alot of about some future setups for sure....and when you camber in...the strut will actually move inward giving you that much more clearance..

But only if you use strut tower plates, not camber bolts, correct?

Edit: Derp. Should have read the top post of the page. Nothing to see here, move along...
