I saw it there about a month or two ago and it was originally priced at $650 or something close to that. I thought that was a good deal, but it sucks that it its actually $975

Thank you! I must not have noticed it with the broken image link and all. Wow that is quite expensive...especially for such a simple exhaust. I guess if people live close enough to P&L or JDL they could get something custom made for 1,000 bucks and be much nicer looking.

The reason we have added it to the shop is for people that need a replacement via insurance due to accidents.

Any chance that a "updated" or upgraded header will ever be developed? I know an equal length would be impossible, due to position of the turbo, but could there be gains found in a new header design?

Also, I am still not running an oil cooler, but rarely, if ever, peak above 101 degrees Celsius. I assume that is ok?

I didn't run an oil cooler for 20,000+ miles, and my car underwent a lot of testing. While it's highly recommended for people that will track, or living in extremely hot climates, this kit does run much "cooler" than many other turbo kits due to the low slung design.

I think it's been pretty proven in this platform UEL vs. EL is a very minimal difference power wise.

Also, 100 Celsius is operating temp, so you are good!

Just got back from a drive and my car is over boosting. Typically I run right at 7psi and it was showing 10 and climbing. think this happened to someone else on here but can't seem to find it. Any ideas for Things to look for before I jack it up and climb under the car?

Check to make sure the hose from the compressor cover to the actuator has not come off, or if you are using an electronic boost solenoid, that it hasn't come off that.

I was getting boost creep issues when I switched to the full 3" exhaust (catless)

Do you have a turbo blanket or anything that might be getting in the way?

I am running the stock exhaust. No turbo blanket. My neighbor borrowed my jack and jack stands so I'm waiting on him before I can check it out.

Mmm I should check mine...I am boosting up to 10 PSI also sometimes.... (I am tuned for 9, so it is not crazy scary, but still)

i've been thinking about getting AVO and bob from drift office has been a great help. Instead of constantly bugging him, i got a real quick question for the experts here. If i want my BRZ to be a DD and want reliability AND 300whp on premium fuel. Is this even possible? Also is this doable with the 2.5in turbo kit or i would have better chances with 3in? thanks!

You will get close. 280 + at about 10PSI and Chevron 92. You will want a 3" exhaust system like Perrin.

Yeah, that is about right. 3" will get you closer to 300WHP, especially if you access to 94 like I do.
