Easy update! Man, do people even read my posts? Ah well. Did a bit more these past few days.
Added my STR 601's the other day. 18x8.5 in front with 18x9.5 in back. Gonna drop and fill the well with the Tein coils in a week or so. Liked America's Tire's wheel locks since they complimented the wheels. Nothing fancy, but nice and clean. But today the rainguards and roof spoiler were put on! Simple little touches to flesh out the car. By HIC, and I honestly quite like them. After that I added the Helix Clear Side Markers. Sadly I thought these were flatfaced, but I don't mind the little lip they have. Lastly I managed to slap in my frameless mirror I saved from old 10 Series. Easiest install ever Just twist and pop out the old one and do the reverse for the new one! I love the clean look of it. And of course, some angles and the buttshot. Oddly enough it needs a bath despite how shiny it looks. After this my next mods will be my coils for a clean drop and nice handling, a master cylinder brace, and some fog lights to fill out the front! Also if you couldn't tell what the back window vinyl is, it's the Fuzion Teknique logo. I love going to them for parts and installs; they're the best. |

Damn those valenti's look MEAN on the RS. The Str's flow really well with the car too. Can't wait to see the coils slapped on, will look even better then it does now. Very clean car bro, can't wait to see your future mods all come together

Hrmm, next few mods are on the horizon! Starting to look like I'm getting the hood and fin wrapped in satin black to match the trim, a Revworks Header, Invidia OP, and a pair of Toyota badges.
Simple. but fun. |

Slight change of plans!
The Revworks UEL Header is in after a lucky purchase from @xxthrillxx ! Coupled it with an Invidia Overpipe just to get a full free flowing exhaust. I'll upload sound clips soon! Next up is a Radium Master Cylinder Brace and Toyota badges! Hopefully they'll come in early next week. |

Dude it sounds beastly. Just needs an easy tune to make it even better! Plenty of snarl and grumble like you said. You're an awesome bro and I'm glad I met you. Last edited by megamarines; 07-02-2015 at 07:27 PM. |

Did some easy-breezy stuff today.
First off was the Radium Master Cylinder Brace; only took 15 minutes because I was ****ing around with a buddy. Definitely a much firmer brake feel after install and it's a very good mod for such a low cost. After that I gently removed the Scion badges and slapped in some Toyota ones with some help from some adhesion promoter to make sure they stay for good. When that was done I realized I never took a pic of the header, so here it is. Lastly, I decided to drop the ride a little bit more; a little half an inch more. Nothing substantial, but I like it. |

Sometimes you end up with some strange but welcome gifts.
A buddy bought me the Circuit Werkz Pulley Kit the other day, so here they are! While not high end, they look good and should get the job done. Free parts are free parts! Also before I go for a tune I'm definitely gonna focus a bit on suspension. In some not so legal testing I noticed that my frame could definitely be a bit stiffer after throwing the car around a bit. In keeping with Toyota's love of red suspension(and to compliment my red TRD Sway Bars), I'm gonna pick up Agency Power's full 8 Piece Brace Set, their Strut Bar, and the FT86SpeedFactory V2 Strut Braces for a full and solid setup. Can never have enough suspension pieces and make the car handle even better to my liking. Will probably do this within the next two months or shorter if I can help it. Did the pulleys today! Definitely feels super sharp and crisp in the acceleration department.
Also did a full oil change. Dumped Motul 300V in the engine, 300 in the trans, and 300LS in the diff; pulled out an odd amount of shavings in the diff; but I'm not too concerned. When it was done, the guys at Fuzion Teknique recommend I try RS-R's new Ran UP stuff; it's a nano ceramic oil treatment that supposedly boosts horsepower and torque efficiency while giving better oil life. It sounded like snake oil, but I gave it a shot and decided to be a guinea pig for them. Put it in the oil chamber, didn't feel much, and drove off. Probably 30 minutes later I notice a smoother idle, quieter engine, and generally a more "peppy" feeling to the motor when not actually accelerating. Not bad, but I'll definitely need to try it more before I decide to do it again with an oil change further down the road. In addition, I noticed one of my gaskets were literally falling apart. Pulled out to discover this. Guess the seal wasn't perfect when I transferred my exhaust over from my 10 Series; thankfully I was able to replace it with a GrimmSpeed gasket. |
