New here

I am new here! I drive a 2015 Pearl White Limted BRZ. Right now it is stock but I plan to change things!

I've owned a bug eyed WRX but decided the BRZ was a better option and more fun! Thanks for having me here guys and gals!!

My plan is to tint my windows, throw a Perrin CAI and a Invidia N1 exhaust. Eventually I want to add more

It's not really safe to park on an incline that steep.

It's not a incline, it's a flat surface. It just looks like that because of the angle the picture was taken. We don't have inclines like that here at the beach haha

Welcome. Hope you enjoy the car.

If I may, I have a couple of thoughts re your mod plans.

1) CAIs don't really do a whole lot for the BRZ--the stock intake is already cold-air and it's pretty well designed. The money is better spent elsewhere. If you're going for looks, then you can save money by either: (A) just getting an intake tube, or (B) for even cheaper, you can remove the sound generator and plug it with about 5 minutes of work and $3 in parts from home depot. This will clean up the engine bay and make things a bit quieter in the cabin.

Don't get me wrong; the Grimmspeed intake in particular looks to be well designed and has proven power gains up top. But you can get 75% of those gains with a $40 drop-in panel filter.

2) The N1 is a popular exhaust and I hear it sounds nice. However, it's on the louder side of the spectrum. Common wisdom around these parts is the N1 is fine if that's all you're doing to the exhaust. However, if you plan to get a catless header down the line, the N1 might be a bit too rowdy.

Ultimately, it's a personal preference. If you plan to get a catless header and want to keep a reasonable exhaust volume, common choices are the Invidia Q300 or the Perrin 2.5" resonated.

Great information, I didn't realize a DIF would/could produce close to the same performance increase as a CAI. Also I'm fond of the rowdiness from the N1. The drone was not to bad when I was in a BRZ with it

you can actually lose performance and make it harder to tune with aftermarket intakes. just get a drop in and call it good. now you just saved some money that can be better spent on good tires.

If your just looking for the noise a CAI will do that otherwise stick with a higher flow drop in like the others have said. K&n is a popular choice

Sometimes I wonder how some folks get out of bed in the morning without a helper monkey.
