FrX's Ultramarine MT

Congratulations FrX on selecting and FR-S...the Ultramarine Blue does look like a nice color. But I think Sterling McCall may just want to hang on to the car though? I went down to Gulf Coast Toyota in Angleton on Wednesday to check out one (Asphalt, MT) and could have driven it home the same day. I ended up buying it but let the dealership keep it in their show room until Friday when I could pick it up (because that would be the best time for me and the dealership was sad they just got it in and it already was sold.) There's been many people getting FR-S from dealerships everywhere already - I don't think June 1st is a hard date. Dealerships just want to hold onto them as long as possible (probably to generate interest and possible sales so they could get another one down the road?), I know I would if I were a dealership!

The thought had occurred to me. However, I have read reports in other threads here of other dealers holding to the June 1st date as well. In any case, a few more days won't kill me. Probably.

Yeah when they first showed the colors I picked Ultramarine as the one I wanted, so glad I've seen some pictures of it out in the daylight. Looks the best of all of them I think. Of course I would go with Black if they didn't have this beautiful color.

You've test driven it so you know it's a nice car, but be prepared to absolutely fall in love with it... it will be worth the wait! And also be prepared for LOTS of attention to it on the road and in parking lots, it's like other drivers think you have a Ferrari or another exotic vehicle...

I hit 1000 miles in the car yesterday afternoon:





I am getting more and more used to the way the car behaves.

For instance, one of my initial complaints was the extremely light clutch. However, after driving the only FR-S for 3 weeks, I hopped back into my Lexus, and I can say the light clutch offers way more feel. The Lexus clutch feels heavy and numb now (not to mention the steering).

Right now, my mileage is averaging around 24.5-25.5 mpg. I am an aggressive driver, and this has been about 50/50 city.highway, for comparison's sake.

I am loving the car more and more as I drive it. I have a FiveAxis spoiler on the way. Hopefully will be taking the car out to some driving events as well in the near future.
