OFT is definitely a different market ploy and I really don't think what they offer should threaten ecutek. The only thing, in my opinion, that turns people away from ecutek is their decision to make you pay for anything you want to do. That or people arent technically inclined to have precise control over specific parameters of their maps.

This is the issue with auto manufacturers today. The "Big 3" tried to get Congress to allow them to lock the hoods last century, NOT. Now I hear that they want to copyright the tunes. Manufacturers have been trying to make it more and more difficult for the average guy to do simple maintenance on his own vehicle, much less tune and get true optimal performance from his engine. All the while, they tell you that your fault that something is wrong with your car when things break. You bought and paid for it, you have full rights to it.

Kpro was so easy to use and ecutek looks like a more similar solution but it seems you need to pay both arms and a leg to do any adjusting on your own so that's a downside.

Is it perfect, likely not. No OFS tune will be. I'm fine with it leaving a little HP on the table or being a little rich in some spots. OFT uses Rom Raider as a tuning software. Ron at RS should have no issues tuning it. Great guy.

Ron doesn't touch ecutek as its not worth it for him to buyer a master license.

How'd those 17x9's feel in stock form? Did you notice the extra contact patch slowing you down much?

I didn't notice any "drag" in acceleration with the large wheels/tires. This could depend on what you buy tho. My setup weighs less than the stock wheels.

The BRZ on stock tires will be very over-steer happy on stock tires at autox. Especially with the nannies off. The courses are usually fairly smooth with out a bunch of sharp/hard acceleration points, so it makes it a bit easier to keep the back end playing nice. Take a couple runs to adjust to it, put your car in sport mode just so there is something to save you instead of loosing control.

Who owns a Red FRS, spotted Saturday around 6pm east bound on I94 between Monticello and the split.

So the dealership in SD decided to "sell" me a car they didnt quite yet own and now as a result of that Im still waiting for it to show up. I havent signed anything yet so I guess I'm not on the hook. Theyre waiting on the previous co-signer to release it I guess.

There's a series 10 here in the cities for about the same price.... Idk if I want silver/light up SCION badges or not though.

The 10 series is awesome. I have one. The paint is beautiful and changes colors in the light. Also, I thought the light up emblems would be dumb, but I actually like them since they are oem. Everyone that's noticed them has thought they were cool. You can tell they are quality unlike an aftermarket gimmick would be.

I hate silver cars but you're pictures give it a metal+cream (?) kinda look.

Looks pretty good.

It has all the interior features I wanted.

If by Tuesday the dealership doesn't have their sh!t together I'll give the other dealer a call about the 10

I live in Sioux Falls! I know guys at billions. That's where I bought my car. I didn't know they had a 10 series! There's an autox here this weekend. Hit me up if you end up coming down here!

10 series is up here. The white BRZ is down there. I'm out at a bachelor party for the weekend but if I had a car I'd be down for all the autox lol
