Alarms aren't... standard?

I figured they have been for every modern car for years now.

Engine immobilizers are pretty much standard, and also keyless access (remote on key), but the actual alarm feature (i.e.- someone hits the car, breaks a window, etc.) I think is still an option on a lot of non-luxury cars.

26.5 for my brz limited with wheel locks, home link, rubber trunk liner (which I surprisingly love, and think is worth the money to even add on If it's not already included!), protection package, wheel rash replacement (if any damage happens to tire/wheel in 60k miles free replacement), extended warranty plus all fees (minus tax) out the door. Thought it was a good deal, and was what swayed me over the FR-S, and the awesome hot lava color. But it's ok, since a coworker has a lava I can drool over.

It was $24,995 if I remember correctly but did anyone actually get one for that price?
I bought mine in August 2012 and it had an $845 BeSpoke head unit I didn't ask for or want. I couldn't get a car without any add-ons though.
The dealer I bought my car from actually told me I would be getting a car with window tint and some of the paint protection film but I got a stereo instead.
I checked the price difference and it turned out to be about the same so I never complained about the difference but I always wondered, are there any real base model owners out there in the U.S.A?

Purchased 5/31/12. Out the door price $23,700. I am an employee and also got a hefty reimbursement after the purchase that covered taxes.

Bought mine in May without any add-ons for $23.6k. So roughly $2k off MSRP. I didn't qualify for college grad or military rebates. I don't know if guys are subtracting this from their price.

They had ones on the lot that had options, so they brought another vehicle from another dealership. first one came damaged, so they got another one from a different dealership.
