Wiring BRZ blinker to IJDMTOY side marker?
I bought these IJDMTOY side markers
and have no problem tapping the wires and all that, but the problem is that in the instructions they use an FRS when showing where the wire for the blinker is, as seen below On the BRZ, the wire running in that place is for the fog light, not the blinker. If i want to hook this up to my BRZ's blinker, am i going to have to take off the bumper skin to get to its wiring? It doesn't seem like anyone has done a DIY of this side marker on the BRZ. Any help is appreciated

Side marker turn signals
Did you ever figure this out?
I want to mod my side markers to blink and was looking at these that you're installing or the Avest set: http://autostyle-usa.com/brz/AVP60411722A01/ One review said the iJDMtoy blinkers/side markers leak. There doesn't seem to be much from owners of these. I was also wondering about the install since it seems vague on their website. If you ran into this, I wonder if you've found a solution. Thanks!

Some more info
Found this video showing someone installing it. It indicates different wires are used at about 1:30. Following that I tapped into the headlights/blinkers. I was concerned about damaging the original markers or the housing or something when I was popping them out since I couldn't see and I felt like I could've easily applied too much force. [ame]http://youtu.be/utvO_nUreTQ[/ame] This video gives a little visual detail on the removal and explains pushing in the clips to pop them out etc.

I did end up figuring it out. The blinker wire on the BRZ is strapped in with all of the wires that feed into the headlight. To find the blinker wire i turned on the blinker and figured out which wire it was with a voltage tester like this:
Once I figured out which one it was I just ran the side marker's blinker wire up to the car's blinker wire and tapped it on. If this didn't make enough sense to visualize I can post up some pictures. Btw, if it were me I'd have just gone with the clear housing swap. The LED conversion required that I cut up some of the old fog light's wiring which will make it really hard for me to ever swap back if I want to, and as it turns out I would like to switch back because I'm really disappointed with the fitment on these iJDMTOY side markers. But Kauf I'm not quite sure what you mean by leaking problems. Overall, not my favorite mod that I've done to this car, but I hope this helps

I only mentioned the leaking because I read a review (On amazon I think) where someone said they did. I haven't seen that so far.
The first link I posted (installation guide) shows what wires to tap into, I just had to pay close attention. Glad it was right. Your method with the voltage tester is probably more accurate if you know what you're doing. All I had was the video. I didn't have to cut up any old fog light wiring and I could switch back easily if I wanted to. I wonder how we did that differently.

I'll follow up with some pictures, but no, the white didn't match. It's a cool white, so it's a little bit more blue than the boomerangs.

Leaks, DON'T BUY
Unfortunately the one side so far is leaking, and also the white strip is half burned out/not lit now.
I don't recommend these. DON'T BUY. There are now more reports of leaking/quality issues since I purchased them. Called iJDMtoy and his customer service stinks. The only thing he would do: He offered to sell me another one. Really? Considering the rate of failure with these, I'm not going to waste more money on another piece of junk. I was considering buying more products from ijdmtoy but will not do any more business with them after my experience.

I have the clear ones, no leaks at all, however I am a little disappointed as the plastic has yellowed noticeably in a fairly short amount of time.
