B&M Oil Cooler?
Has anyone ever looked into using one of the B&M supercoolers with the built-in fans for oil cooling? Model 70297 or 70298? How do they compare to some of the others like the Mishimoto or Perrin models, or the Jackson Racing model? I did a search and only found a couple of people using them for automatic transmissions. Assuming I can find a place to mount it, would it cool as well?
Thanks! -Mark |

with the fan and aluminum construction this will work great IMHO. No need to buy a racing oil cooler when something like this would be sufficient. I am considering this also. If you intend to race other than Auto X or weekend track days I say this is a good deal.

I just wonder where it might fit... Engine bay is crazy tight already. Behind radiator under the air filter maybe?

I like this idea. It should fit in the same place the Full Blown Oil Cooler goes (under the passenger headlamp, behind the foglight).

You do realize that fans play 0 part in cooling in anything above rush hour traffic and parking lot speeds? In fact they hinder cooling at high speed. Speed seen on a race track or a back mountain road.
Fans are only on radiators etc for low airflow situations.

This is true if the cooler directly in the airflow. With a fan it allows more mounting options.
