Did anyone compare the dimensions and spring perch height of the Koni complete front struts (not inserts) with the stock Front struts to see if they are the same? And what is the part # s for the legal camber bolts (and is that one or 2 per side and if 1 per side the top or bottom hole? Thx from a brand new owner...

I'm waiting on my fronts to arrive. I'll measure them to be sure, but I'm going to have faith that Koni got it right.

When I had my Evo X everyone swore the Bilsteins from the MR and SE weren't legal because of the overall extended length based on one post on the forums. I thought it didn't make sense, and bought them anyway. They measured perfectly legal.

I think this will be a case of the same. Note that the loudest voice of them being illegal is someone who hasn't held them or measured them, but is rather asserting since you can get more camber they must be illegal, completely disregarding the legal factors that would result in a lower ride height and more camber.

Thx Chris. That will be great info.

Also researching the TRD swaybars, but read conflicting info. Sone sources say rear bar is 16mm while others sat 17.5mm. And all I can find for the front is 20.6mm vs no listing. Can someone put a set of calipers on both of theirs so the true size will be known. And from what I can tell, both of the TRD swaybars are non adjustable and only come as a set vs either front or rear?

I compared mine to stock. They are exactly the same.

Gas pressure can also effect ride height and camber...pressures might be different for stock replacements and inserts...

Degassed and revalved Konis will lower the car (did for every car I have added them to), so if that adds neg camber vs people on stock Koni yellows, then that is a good thing...

Thx for the info for the Koni strut dimensions in the other posts

Was it ever decided if the TRD wheels are port installed and legal?

I don't believe it hit a fast track, but the general understanding is that for some reason or another, those particular items aren't legal. Something silly to do with how they get tires onto those rims, I think.

There's always the letter-writing option to get finality.

I'm more curious to know the strut bolt hole location compared to stock.

I did the scientific method. 16mm wrench fit over the rear bar, 21mm fit over the front. Car drives great with both bars, springs and koni's.

From my understanding, the top hole is slotted. It is not legal to use the slotted hole to gain camber. On the MCS dampers, the top hole is slotted. There is a spacer that puts it in the further outboard location (legal for CS) or you can flip it put the top bolt further inboard (STX legal). I have it in the CS legal position and have 1.4deg camber. The inboard position will give over 2 degrees.

It's in the same location as stock. I don't particularly feel like taking mine apart for the 3rd time this year, but it is a circular hole - not slotted.

Believe me if they were slotted there would've been a pretty urgent phone call to Koni to ask wtf, as I didn't really inspect these very closely until the car was in the air sans front suspension.

Get the crash bolts from a Subaru dealership. One per side, to replace the top bolt. ~ 5 degrees of camber.
