Yeah, I saw that, but it didn't mention the backup camera that the FRS is getting for MY16...

So what we *may* have is new colours, 8 speakers instead of 6, "brighter" silver trim, backup camera... but still nothing official from Subaru.

These guys say no MY16 for New England until Oct:

We couldn't order 2015's until October 2014 while the rest of the US got to order in June, and Canada might have been even earlier (think botbs might have gotten his 15 early).

Sweet, new backup camera so it might be cheap(er) than getting the JDM one imported.

So I went into my local dealership to order a premium white 2015 with no options at all. Turns out the system wouldn't allow them to place a new factory order. They offered me the last white one in the state (located at another dealer) with a few options for the same price, but I might just wait for the 2016s. I really don't care for the options that were on that car, and would rather have one people didn't test drive. I mentioned that Scion is adding a few small things and a backup camera, he said Subaru might do the same but was just guessing. They had no info on 2016s, and we're surprised when they couldn't order a new 2015 even after calling the district rep.

The wait continues. Btw this is at Eastside Subaru in WA. Very friendly dealer just not fully informed at the moment

Kind of seems like Subaru is dropping the ball a bit by not putting out any info on the 2016 model year BRZ by this point. I would have thought they would have at the very least announced a production start date or something. To find out from people who have gone to a dealership only to have that dealer find out they can't place orders seems messed up in a way.

Ummmm guys there is info out. We are still way ahead of the "normal" September release dates for next model years so nothing out of the ordinary. Car companies have been releasing earlier over the last few years but September has been the "official" month for decades. I get that people are eager but to start expecting them so soon is asking a bit much.
