I have looked at the Ailienware systems before and although they do look cool you do pay a premium for the hype. Not as bad as when they first came out though.
Sometimes you can get a deal like that. Most of the time it's cheaper to just build your own though.

I mean for about $450 you can build something that will run games at 1080p on med-high settings at 60 fps. Spend $600 and you've got something that can play most anything at 1080p maxed out.

Last I checked Alienware desktops start around $700ish I think.

Really? My video card cost $450 alone.
To build what I wanted was going to be almost $1,000.
An Alienware to match my setup is over$1,000 (without shopping around)
Maybe I should have shopped in the US.

Incredibly hyped for this game. We should know a lot more once E3 starts. If memory serves with Fallout 3 Bethesda released the trailer shortly before E3 and the release date was sometime that fall. Wouldn't be too surprised if it came out this year. E3 starts in just a couple weeks.

And I plan on getting it on PC as well. Getting a Bethesda title on console when there's *always* a huge community of modders for their games is just silly.

Yep. Granted this is really more of gaming oriented rig. So FX4200 or i5, 8GB of ram, and a radeon video card etc. It's not meant to stream 3 youtube feeds, play crysis, rip a bluray, and type your term paper all at the same time, but it'll play most any game you throw at it at without breaking much of a sweat.

I would suggest if you have some lots of spare money laying around to upgrade that graphics card to the GTX980. you can thank me later when, graphics > real life.

Probably true. I went to both frys and Newegg and "built" my own computer and price came to about at least 30% cheaper. But I would end up sacrificing a couple features I wouldn't do for myself, financing with Dell is easy, a warranty is nice, and not having to build it and worry about sourcing software and drivers is nice... Their area 51 is easily something you could continue to build and replace components, and their liquid cooling and tower design isn't easily duplicated. ...

At least that's what I'm telling myself to encourage pulling the trigger. My all in one desktop died 4 months ago and I haven't been able to buy the replacement with all these options... Stupid pricey? Definitely

PSH, 1080p is so 2007. 4K would require...almost 4 times the power a 1080p graphics setup would right? edited, I amend my statment.

Yeah 4k is going to require a bit more. I personally don't see the necessity for it, but different strokes.

Its not like bethesda is going to make the PC version in 4k, knowing that not everyone can play at 4k, rather theyd make it in 1080p, so you can do the rest. 4k gaming wont come for a lonnnggggg time.

I saw a machine with three 980s on a 4.0 i7 and was playing Metro last light in 4k on a 27" monitor and looked amAzing. Was that upscaled or are there higher quality games readily out there? New to the 4k movement
