Deadpool_25's Subaru BRZ Limited

Current Goals:

Current Mods:
- PTuning Turbo Kit
- PTuning 3" exhaust
- JDL UEL header
- Delicious Tuning Flex Fuel kit
- Exedy Stage 1 clutch

- More parts from JPM Coachworks
- Various aero bits (subtle)

2010 GTI got totaled in 2013

After a false start, I ended up with a 2013 BRZ Limited in Crystal Black Silica. My first couple purchases were Miro 111 Wheels (18x8.5 +35 front, 18x9.5 +40 rear) with Nitto Motivo tires (225/255). I also picked up Tom's tail lights.

Miro 111's

Tail light's being installed.

I put some springs on it to get rid of the ugly, stock fender gap. Eibach Pro Kits.

A few interior bits from JPM Coachworks

Gutted the interior to do some sound deadening and wiring.

With great assistance from my friends Jason and Mark, I got Hybrid Audio Technologies speakers installed in the doors, dash, and A-pillars; and put a single JL Audio 10" sub in the passenger's footwell.

Amps are in temp mounting. Everything will be cleaned up later.

DEX-P99RS. I have this set to red lighting (knobs and buttons) now.

That's it for now. Much more to come.

Yeah, I'd say it's a really cool element of the system. I can play anything from jazz to dubstep and it performs impressively. The enclosure is made of fiberglass and MDF. It bolts in with a single factory bolt located on the firewall at the top of the footwell just below the glove box. Unfortunately not many pics available of the actual build as it was originally done for my friend's BRZ (he had a new one built similarly for a 12" sub).

With trim panel in place

They're okay for a DD where you don't plan on getting too wild. I got them because they are a good mix of performance, price, and warranty. I don't have the driving skills to push them to their limits though so I'm not really sure. My next tires, after I get new wheels, will probably be the Michelin Pilot Super Sports as I think I have a solid hook up for those.

Haha. It's not that bad actually. I'm 6'1" and have sat in there without much complaint. I wouldn't want to do a really long trip like that but I could. Still, I will be moving the sub to the rear at some point, and swapping out the 10" for a 12."

Ran into a relatively minor snag. The shop found that the oil block off plate seemed to be machined incorrectly and wouldn't seal properly. They contacted @ptuning who is shipping another one out. Stings a little as I was hoping to have the car back for this weekend's local GTG. Depending on how things work out it MAY end up costing me a full week, but we'll see. Maybe I'll get lucky.

I did stop by the shop today and took a couple of progress pics.

Not sure I'll keep the big PTuning logo on the intercooler. It's a bit flashy for my tastes, but we'll see.

Will the wastage get a new spring? We'll see!

Matt drilled a small hole in the subframe to make a cleaner-looking mount for the hose to the oil scavenging pump. One of the few little tweaks he showed me. He's a little OCD, which is great. The install is looking quite tidy.

JDL UEL header. Can't wait to hear how it sounds paired with the PTuning 3" turbo-back exhaust.

The PTUNING turbo install is complete and tuning started. Some logistical stuff and scheduling conflicts pushed the finishing of the tune back until tomorrow. In the meantime here are a couple of pics.
