I did something small. I was sick of seeing that "SUBARU STARLINK" splash screen on my head unit every time I started the car. So I finally made my own...

Using the fonts from the Official Subaru Press Release for the Aozora edition, I created my own, using a photo of my actual car.

Assuming it was, I just took a photo and cropped it to 16:9. Matched fonts and used my Mac's trackpad handwriting for the Japanese characters. Fiddled with layouts and loaded it onto an SD card. As soon as you put the SD card in, ht asks if you want to override the startup screen.

yes it was and oh cool.

welp, looks like I'm putting porn on mine now. the only question is who's the lucky lady? wonder if I can get it to throw up a different one every time I start. maybe like a 6 broad rotation or something.

I just assumed it impossible. no way I could fit back there with another person and be in a position where I could still breath,
