+1... I'm still waiting on a CJ resurrection.

I missed most of that by just a few weeks but highly doubt there are many of his threads left to resurrect.

Mine was "riced up" a bit. Unlike the one below it had a chrome grill guard upside down "U" on the front that fit between the two lights, and it had meatier tires on the back jacking it up in the back. It was that way when I bought it used and I just went with it since the wheels were custom Crager knock-offs.

That was the first car I bought that cost me more than $1,000. If I could find one that looked as good as the one in this Pic, I'd probably buy it.

I had one like the pic I posted but in beige and it was 8 years old. The exhaust manifold had a hole rotted through it, I am pretty sure that at least one cylinder only fired on alternate weeks, the accelerator would stick wide open on occasion, no heater (I mean removed) and the tires would go flat for no apparent reason.
You couldn't pay me to take another.

Are you saying that a car with 1000hp can't have "Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancements"?
many do.

pot calls the kettle what now?

there are plenty of 1000hp showcars with useless mods, simply for the "ooooh shiny" factor. sadly, these cosmetic mods are there to win points with the judges, not actually improve performance.

Interesting, sounds like the previous owner beat it pretty hard.

I bought mine with 40,000 miles on it, looked brand new except the paint was spider-webbing. Honda repainted it under warranty. I got rid of it at about 190,000 miles and it still looked new except it had started burning about a quart of oil between oil changes, and there was a burn in the carpet in the back where the exhaust had rusted through and heated up the floor enough to melt the carpet before I replaced it.

Oh they did, they did! Those cars didn't like salt much either.
Mind you I paid $50 for it and drove it about 2 months so shouldn't really complain.

Agh, OK, that would definitely explain it! I lived in Richmond, VA at the time so it saw very limited salt. They definitely would rust out quickly if you even spilt a salt packet in them.

Then tell me EXACTLY what the point of your post quoting my post with that stupid acronym?

"Pot calls the kettle what now?"

WTF are you talking about? WTF are you talking to?
Do you even know what you typed is supposed to mean?
