Fantastic! Some advice - save every piece of correspondence. Keep copies in your glovebox. If you don't get confirmation in time, make sure you follow through with court. Balls get dropped in the bureaucracy but it's still on you to make the court date. You definitely don't want a bench warrant out there.

Defiantly, The officer had given me his card as well. Altho It wasn't the same officer as last night. But as of now, I'm pretty relieved.

To be fair - if Richard didn't look like such a douche bag he probably wouldn't have been pulled over, or assumed involved in the first place...

, so glad this got resolved quickly - that would have been so aggravating, and stressful having to worry about it for a month, and knowing that that sort of injustice was done to you with no validating reason - even if it did get dropped at court; I'm glad this is now behind you!

I had a similar incident happen late night at a fast food parking lot. I was eating food in my car and a bunch of ricers pulled in and started doing donuts (Kent). By the time the cops came, guess who they talked to? The Asian guy in the civic of course! He tried to write me a ticket for reckless driving, but i contested as firmly as i could. Luckily he let me go, but it's sad that idiots have to ruin it for everyone else. Dash cam...don't leave home without it.

Dashcams earn their keep, well worth the investment.

In the future, I've read that it's worthwhile to ask for the cop's dashcam video for review that I think they'll provide on request of the accused.

Unless you get stopped in downtown Portland, there won't be any police dashcam to review. Only a few cars have them, and they're all downtown.
