Seriously guys, the fix is an easy DIY. Get the GasketNinja gaskets, some sealant, and some flexible/removable putty. The main time spent will be in drying out your existing ones. The fix takes a few minutes except for time for the sealant to cure. Mine have been perfect since (and we have had *some* rain here in SoCal). It's also shocking the amount of crap that collects on top of the lights once you dam off the path for things to go below.

Seriously guys, this is an even easier fix. 20 cents worth of duct tape. I am stunned at what I'm reading on theses 45 pages and people actually having entire taillight assemblies replaced multiple times.

In all fairness some people don't like duct tape on their cars... myself included. And some people also don't like the dam built by the glue/duct tape fix that causes tail lights to accumulate loads of crap everyday. I have OCD when it comes to my cars cleanliness.

Not saying it doesn't work tho haha

They eventually fill with water and possibly short out...Immediate concern, it looks like crap.

My driver's side one did it again after the last rain...time to pull them off and clean the gasket I guess.

Considering there's a TSB out for the taillights now, it's worth getting them replaced for free if you're in warranty still. Getting both of mine replaced again next week (under warranty); both of them were replaced last year.

Once the warranty runs out, I'll probably consider after-market taillights at some point

Mine only did this once when I purchased the car after they "detailed it". I owned the car for 5 month now and nothing. Should I have them replaced ? Also if I ask the dealer to buy the old ones because I want to paint inside them (like some of the people did here ) would they sell them to me for cheap?

Depends on dealership if they're willing to do it or not. Some dealers if they don't find anything wrong with the taillights may not replace them, but others may choose to do so because it's money in their pocket. I don't have anything wrong with my one taillight but my service advisor was nice enough to get it replaced anyways 'just in case' something happens to it.

Also doubtful the dealership would give you a deal on taillights; you'd be better off trying to find them cheap on the forum here or online somewhere like Ebay.

It should be; don't see why they would cancel/stop a TSB

As long as you are still under the 32K mile Bumper to Bumper warranty. The second you go over, they deny it (from experience)
