Here is a BRZ we just had in the shop. We installed the Skunk 2 Header and tuned the car using Ecutek RaceRom. The car has no other power mods otherwise. Check out the gains from the stock baseline!

Thanks

And here is an FR-S that came in for a Flex Fuel setup. This car has the Nameless Header and we installed the Moto East Flex Fuel Kit and did a Flex Fuel Custom Tune using Ecutek RaceRom. It's pretty cool to see the gains from E85 on an NA setup!

During the road tune portion, I noticed that the header and overpipe were not installed properly causing rubbing and what sounds to be a leak. The customer will be back tomorrow for us to resolve the shoddy installs.

Thanks

Sure enough, just about every bolt was loose on the header and overpipe. Including the bolt on the transmission bracket! This caused leaks and rubbing in a few places. About 20 minutes on the lift, a few new gaskets, and the customer was on his way with properly installed exhaust parts. Not all shops are created equal

Quick note about STI Brembo swap. We've been hearing and reading that swapping the bleeder fittings to the correct side on the STI Brembo calipers is difficult and/or impossible. As usual, we don't take internet info as gospel, so we decided to give it a try on our own shop car. After a little cleaning and prep, we found that removing the plugs couldn't be any easier. They came out smoothly and cleanly with zero stripping. The whole thing took about 15 minutes and now we can properly bleed the brakes without removing the calipers. I'm not sure why it was reported to be such a major issue, but I suspect people just didn't try to do it properly. Here are a couple pictures of the original location, the plugs out, and then replaced in the correct location. If anyone is struggling with this or has been too scared to try it, we'd be very happy to do this quick procedure.

Thanks

Good to know! Since I heard it was a pain I didn't bother to try and swap them. Just had them bleed in correct position and mounted with the bleeder screw on the bottom, so far no problem but I might swap it out in the future when I need new fluids. Also saw your responses from FB too. I agree that the bias change isn't as bad as they say especially with the just the front STi calipers swap.

Updated Pics with the New Aero and Logos!

Here are some more pictures of our BRZ! We finished up performing some routine maintenance on the car yesterday and prepped it for this weekend's track day with Speed SF out at Sonoma Raceway. We are looking forward to a fast and fun weekend out there! If any of you guys are out there, please stop by!

I've had no bias related issues with the front and rear setup either

What a great day yesterday at Sonoma Raceway with SpeedSF! This was my first real time driving on this track and we had also made a few changes to the car, so I wasn't expecting much in terms of lap times. We were also running with a serious line up of Porsche's, GT-R's, and many other very fast cars. But after a couple sessions and a few adjustments to the car, we managed to run a 1:49.5 lap which ended up being the fastest lap all day and the new Speed SF track record for the OMG class. We were all thrilled to say the least!

Check out the in-car video from the Time Trial session where we set the fast lap and also chase down a couple Porsche's.

We finished our turbo install today. The new MAF housing seals up perfectly now and there is no need to go hunting for an o-ring!
