This morning on my way to work I had a newer WRX pull in front of me from an on ramp and every single chance he had he would take off until he was stopped by traffic up ahead. One time he switched lanes to do this and then cutoff the car that was just in front of him. Not exactly a come race me, but definitely trying to make a statement but I didn't even acknowledge him.

My friend and I were having a low RPM spirited driving in each of our FR-S on our way to meet a fellow FR-S owner. Someone in a tinted, blacked out Impala starts to tailgate my friend and wouldn't let me go into their lane so I could turn right as well, so I decided to slow down and go behind him. We all turn right and he rides my friend hard, so my friend moves out of the way to let him fly by and so that my friend can stay pace with me. The guy flashes his emergency signal in front of us as if he won a street race. We both look at each other and was like, "Okay..."

I was driving late at night on the highway, taking it slow in the slow lane. I notice a car's pulling up slowly to my left and pacing me. I look over and it's a stock looking FRS so I'm like, "Oh hey, brother!" and give a friendly peace sign. As soon as I did that, the driver takes off, weaving in and out of traffic without signaling and cutting people off. A quarter mile down the road, he exits.

Just had a Kia Optima "race" me at a stoplight, I guess I accelerated a bit too fast (0-40mph) and that triggered the Kia driver. I just watched in awe as that Kia drove off to 75-80mph in a 40mph street. 😂 I didn't even know I was racing tonight! Also there was this black Suv in the left lane (me being the middle) who decided to race me as well right after that Kia sped off, he went ahead of me and changed into my lane and tried to break check me for some reason. 😑

I've had this happen to me as well with 1 - 3 other stock-looking twins; I've had a WRX match my pace and rev at me on the freeway, and then blow by me when I accelerated slightly to change lanes, and they did the peace sign out of their window, so I can only assume that some people mean it as, or interpret it as PEACE SEEYA LATER SLOWBRO, or something to that effect.

I was driving along a stretch of highway this weekend when two guys in a red Roush Mustang convertible pulled up along side me and started revving. I shook my head "no" and waved them along, at which point they floored it for all of 3 seconds before catching traffic. It may have been completely pointless, but damn did it sound good.

I was driving home from the mall aftet picking up my girlfriends birthday gift. I was low on gas, so i was driving economically.

Green (the ugly dark green) '99 v6 mustang rolls up with some hotshot teenager kid driving (it was automatic). To make him more cocky he had a girl with him so naturally he had to whip it out and be "cool". At the stoplight he guns it (to the best a '99 V6 stang can do) and flys down the road to the rest of traffic. Roughly 200 yards away.

I casually leave the stoplight and drive like a normal human, i catch up to him and look over. Only to seem him smirking at me. I couldnt hold it anymore i busted out laughing so loud im pretty sure he could here me with his windows up. Didnt help the girl was with him too, he ends up gunning it again and verring in and out of traffic. Poor girl, probably scared for her life.

in the past month or so, ive had two separate incidents but the same dumbass thing:

a modded e92 m3 is weaving through traffic behind me and revs at me as he passes. then he goes to the left turn lane and stops at the red light arrow. i cruise past him and he revs at me again.

today a modded new a3 sedan does the exact same shit. weaves in and out through traffic behind me and then revs as he passes me. he pulls in to the left turn lane ahead and gets stuck at a red light arrow. i cruise by him and he revs at me again.

wtf is wrong with these fucks.

i feel like a lot of the time they are just trying to get your attention so they can throw you a thumbs up or a friendly peace sign, yall need to chill out. not everyone is trying to race you. I rev my engine at other cars that i find cool/interesting and then smile and throw a thumbs up. its a way of car people to recognize other car people and to let them know you appreciate their rides. Obviously there are exceptions but maybe just think more positively...
