That's the key! I would look at logs/video from typical courses you would be running to see where the rpm's spend most of their time, then look at dynos to see which header gives you the most area under the curve based on the realistic rpm range you need.

If you're spending more time in the 3000-5000 range, a 4-2-1 will likely be way better. If it's all over 5000 then 4-1 will probably win out.

Just my opinion but I think EL is the way to go for high REV's. UEL I think is better for the torque dip (someone correct me if I'm wrong).
Agreed. For max top end power, this answers your question, op. Ptuning header .

If you'd like to pay for my dyno pulls, I'll get you numbers, but most likely it will just end up being, "Oh, that dyno is known to give high numbers or its off".

I've got 20+ datalogs you can go through if you'd like.

Not to mention the other threads containing JDL UEL headers combined with headerback exhausts breaking 190-200 whp constantly.

If the OP is going for a pure STX build though, maybe a 4-2-1 merged EL might be a better choice. UEL's are pretty solid for daily drivers.

Nameless performance 3" kit (axleback, mid, front, over) with either the Nameless Performance headers (EL) or the JDL (UEL).
