I wish there was stiffer competition out there. It would be better for all auto enthusiasts.
Agreed. Nissan needs to throw something in the mix with a comparable smaller RWD offering.

Great reviews, it's just a shame every review says the BRZ is lacking power.

I heard that they wont turbo it but can possibly make 50 more power on the NA motor. I am going to have to wait and see if this is announced in the next year or so. If not I'll just get the BRZ. It's just so hard to wait it out.
The power deficit becomes even more prominent with an AT. The Best Motoring boys got a 15.9 sec 1/4 mile out of the AT; R&T back in 1997 got a 16.3 out of my 140 hp Tiburon MT for chrissake! (still have the issue, just checked). In fact as it takes the Tib a little longer to get to 60, it actually has equal acceleration from 60 to around 90. Not spending $30k for virtually no improvement in power, the handling improvement is not enough by itself.

If I decide I don't want a manual, I too am going to wait for a little more power. 30 hp/30 torques would be enough for me.
