Why does Tire Rack have the recommended tires on the 18x8.5 as 225/40-18? Seems like everyone here is going 235, 245, and 255...

Against tire racks judgement, I highly recommend 235. You can reference my pictures up above, the fitment is absolutely perfect.

Has anyone already bought them in white color? I felt in love with this multispoke design but have already 10 silver/gunmetal rims and want some diversity

Thinking about buying a square set of 18x8.5s for competition use with 245/35 Hankook Z214 but not sure how white rims will match a black car.

Depends entirely on which BBK. An Essex Sprint (299mm disc) will clear wheels an STI swap (326mm disc) wouldn't, and both will clear wheels a Brembo GT (355mm disc) wouldn't. The BBK manufacturer will have a template of their kit to verify wheel clearance. Send that to the retailer that you're looking to buy the wheels from to see if they fit.

Anyone know if this will clear the OEM brembo brakes on the 2017 BRZ?

Brembo Brakes Performance package 2017 BRZ

edit: confirmed, they do not fit with the brembos. If anyone knows what spacers would be required, that'd help.
