http://datazap.me/u/darksunrise/data...og=0&data=1-14 You can see FLKC is much reduced. Oddly though, I started seeing progressively more FLKC in later sessions, even running the higher octane. Here's a log from my 4th (and fastest) session: http://datazap.me/u/darksunrise/data...og=0&data=1-14 Even though IAM's remained solidly at 1.0, I might start running the OFT 91 octane map at the track to be safe. The Perrin oil cooler was great at the track though. Peak oil temps were around 235 F, exactly what I was expecting.

looks like your getting knock when intake ait temps IAT are higher. Knock seem ok when IAT below 85 or so but when its 100 your getting a bit of knock you might try adjusting the IAT vs ignition retard tables below Try putting -2.11 in the 104F cell and -1.7 in the 86 cell in the Timing compensation IAT table. The current values are zero. That way you don't have to switch tunes and when IAT is below 86F you run full timing. Make sure you put the "-" minus sign in else it will add timing :-) You might also consider adding some ignition retard to the Engine Coolant Temp (ECT) vs Ignition retard Table.A & B the two tables below the IAT tables shown below Suggest -2 degrees retard at 212F and -3 degrees at 230 (this is what WRX ECU runs), stock/OFT tune ECT/retard tables A & B have no retard at high coolant temperatures |

These logs are running the OTS OFT Stage 2 UEL 91 octane tune at the track.
I'm a noob at looking at the data so am looking for feedback on whether or not I should have the car tuned and why. I run it at the track often and the local gas is 92 and when I go to Calif it is 91, both 10% Ethanol. Sometimes I have access to 100 to mix or I can bring Torco Octane Accelerant. Goal is to have a safe tune that takes advantage of my mods (K&N, OFH, Perrin 2.5" resonated with their over pipe; stock front pipe with cat). This log is on 92 gas: http://www.datazap.me/u/pstoppani/92...0&data=1-11-14 This one is 92/100 mixed 50/50: http://www.datazap.me/u/pstoppani/92...0&data=1-11-14 This one is 92/100 mixed 75/25: http://www.datazap.me/u/pstoppani/92...0&data=1-11-14

I just installed a new JDL UEL header. Can someone who knows what they're looking at tell me if everything is running okay?
File titled "RUN1" was a 4th gear pull from ~3k to redline. File titled "CRUISE1" was a 6th gear cruise at 65-70 mph. Thanks so much! Mod list: K&N drop in filter Blitz intake tube OFT Stage 2 91 octane (I run 93 in the car) JDL UEL header (ceramic coated) Top Speed Pro-1 Axleback exhaust |

Am I logging enough parameters or should I have more things chosen? Is there a way to get rid of that little bit of knock? Should I venture to a 93 octane tune or would I be pushing my luck? Thanks again! |

your minor knock is 3000-4800 the difference between 91/93 tunes is extra ignition timing over 6000 and your not getting any knock in that area. you could try different brands of 93 fuel that might get rid of the lower rpm knock or just pull (ie decrease) 0.7 degrees out of the BASE TIMING B table at loads 0.8 through to 1.1, rpm 2800 to 3200 loads 1.0 to 1.2 , rpm 4000 to 5000 its rearly very minor knock not anything to be concerned about see here http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61820 |

Hey guys,
I am trying to learn here, but I think I am off to a bad start already. I think I may have logged the wrong thing. I am trying to look to see if I need knock correction. I logged the following...can you have a look at it and let me know what I am missing? or explain if I should stop driving my car until I have fixed something. I think I grabbed the wrong file for IAM....I have "ignition advance" http://www.datazap.me/u/p5yk0t1c/log...data=1-3-4-5-6 Mod list: Tomei UEL Header EVO 3 catback Ingen CAI Stage 2 UEL 91 octane |

Yes be nice to see IAM It does not look too bad bit of minor knock at lower rpm generally expected on 91 fuel , but rearly need to see if IAM=1 with injen intake you might want to look at LTFT long term fuel trims and AFR and commanded afr, those intakes can throw off fuel trims and afr. see maf scalng links. see links below on logging knock correction and tune tweaks |

Just looking at your straight 92 oct. log, your knock is super minor and it looks fine to me. On 91 oct. I get more knock than you just driving aggresively on the street, and I have base timing pulled, and IAT timing compensation. During autox my IAM dropped to around .8 I think. I'd say you're looking pretty good for track use. (Just my opinion, I am not an expert).

would someone mind taking a look at my log from a few minutes of driving with some decent acceleration.
Only thing i've done to the car is OFT stage 1 for 93. Been using shell 93 since day one. http://www.datazap.me/u/tectoniic/lo...og=0&data=1-13
