Subtle. Not bad, but probably not stupidly overdone looking enough to be really popular. Rear looks too much like a Cadillac, IMO.

Toyota will introduce a final facelift for the GT86 in April 2016 and will apparently come with a 11 PS power upgrade (to 211 PS), bespoke Sachs dampers, reinforced rear suspension and other chassis tweaks made by Gazoo Racing all wrapped around in a "major body panel redesign."

Late to the party here, but tcoat, are you losing your edge man? That woman looks like she's old enough to be my mother! I realize you're old and everything, but shouldn't the goal to be picking up 18 year olds?

Another story quoting Motoring.com.aus which, from what I have been able to determine, has never been right about anything FT86 related so far unless it was already previously widely know......by everyone......before they found out........and broke it as "breaking news" on their site. Everything else, they apparently just make up.

Not a speculation. Only issue is that it will not be a mid-cycle update, but a new generation. We had already a mid-cycle update with the 2015 release. Most important change will be the reinforced rear-suspension frame. Let's hope that it will not add much to the weight of the car. I also feel that the reinforcement will be accompanied with a change in the suspension. I don't care about any power improvements. They will be minimal and ridiculous to talk about it. If you are expecting a serious improvement in power, then you have to look somewhere else. Especially in engines with boost.

And exactly how is your statement not speculation?

Different springs/struts and a new antenna don't qualify as a mid-cycle refresh. Toyota would never create an entirely different generation after only 4 years.

Oh please, I know the real scoop on the 2017 FR-S, because my uncle works for Toyota and he told me the 2017 Scion FR-S will have a turbocharged 2.0L with a 7-speed DCT or 6 speed manual, and an optional factory installed tune for E85.
