I love the part about a power increase....going up to 208hp lol Hmmm sounds like someone pulled that out of their ass, and if it were true why even bother.

No.

Just saw that myself... I guess we'll know in about a year, what actually is the truth. Until then, more rumors. Enjoy!

Sideways&Smiling 05-12-2015 11:51 AM

Sounds like exactly something Toyota would do lol

Hopefully that 8hp comes with 20-25 lb/ft of torque.

These blog loops always seem to lead back to Motoring.com.au. The great part is that the article that they are citing is actually pretty old and called for the "mid life refresh" for the 2016my not the 2017 like they said in the one above. So not only are they citing speculation they are using year old info (that didn't happen) and just moving it out another year.

raven1231 05-12-2015 12:17 PM

Not even speculation anyway as they just took the other blog and totally misquoted it's fiction.
Shit they didn't even catch the difference in years much less get anything else right.

In 2016 according to the first blog that the second one was quoting as fact! Guess Toyota forgot to put that fact on the official list of updates (along with the whole new front and rear ends they said were coming).

I know you would think a company as big as they're wouldn't make simple mistakes like that. I'm personally excited for the new internals!

The RS1 guys are gonna be pissed that the yellow will be a stock colour though.
Not sure I like the new front end treatment on the 16s.

Front-end looks gross, but the wheels are waaay better.
