Yeah I think that car was a SRT8. It has like 500hp or something. He was kept on blocking the exit and accelerating out of the hole.

My group had so much traffic, I never had a chance to do a clean lap. But that's okay, it was still a plenty, plenty of fun.

Not actually today - but on Sunday, I visited a buddy of mine who is a car nut (selling his modded S4 for a 996 Turbo because he misses lightness).
He drove mine and remarked that the shifter was almost as good as the S2000 (I have the TRD quickshifter and MTEC springs).

Also, despite coming from a powerful car, he remarked "I don't understand why people complain about the power...."

Only the idiotic noobs cry about the lack of power looking at the magazine numbers.

WHAT DID YOU DO TO YOUR BRZ TODAY?

Installed:

DSS CF Driveshaft
STi Rear Axles from the tS
STi Steering Rack Bushings
STi Steering Rack Bolts from the tS

Instant smile update on the drive home. Car accelerates with more immediacy, smoother, and quicker. The cars steering feels more weighted, solid, providing improved feedback.

Went out and got another OEM shifter, garage bomber the hell out of it, and now it's short like a chode.

The setup includes a Perrin Shifter Bushing, MTEC Shift springs and goes great with the OEM arm rest. It's the perfect height with the arm rest and it feels super ergonomic.

Due to the reduce height, you lose leverage so it feels better when putting it into gear. It's a more direct and engaging feeling and of course, the throw is a lot shorter.
What exactly did you do to the shifter to make it that low?

South California had a snow storm mid-may? And I thought Illinois was messed up.

Are the STi rear axles supposed to be stronger?

Acoording to DSOmegaX in another thread (subaru ts parts) The Ts axles are a larger diameter and weight is the same as the stock parts. He also said the larger diameter of the axles allow more torque to transfer per rotation due to the larger size.
