ARC sent mine and the other one I ordered in a small box with a threaded base for the shift knob and considering the company and how they are it's reaIly weird to see a plastic bag from them

You got yours in a box because you got the newly released version.

The one he's selling looks like the older, original version that comes in a matte finish.

There's a bunch of stuff from ARC that comes in a plastic bag, just like Cusco and other reputable companies with their plastic bag packaging.

ARC products from 2000 up till almost 2010 all had small items in plastic bags. Hell, all of my old ARC parts (including the radiator panel that bends incredibly easy) were in plastic bags.

One reason was because of the JDM market. Parts like these were meant to be hung on a display rack at a car parts shop.
