THAT will do nicely. Good post. Removable rear bar for use of rear seat? Well... "use" of rear seat.

Why is everyone so worried about retaining the backseat? Really who sits back there?? My 4 year old fits but I can't wait until he's big enough so I have no excuse to keep it. After that it's bye bye useless cushion.

Motorsports where there are class regulations stating you have to keep it.

I'll tell you what sucks, buying a car like this just to be a hard parker. Motorsports are quite fun.

Contact www.cantrellmotorsport.com they make a really nice roll bar with removable rear diagonal so you can still stuff the track tires in the back. I have one; love it

Lets see it! Your link doesn't work btw.

I like the idea Hotchkis has. I would buy a bolt in kit. I don't care about the rear seat or the interior back there. Any chance of it being FIA approved?

Doesn't show up on there site? Not to mention, if the BRZ/FR-S costs the same as the ones they are showing on the site, I suspect that will be a small market.

$2500 for a bolt-in 4pt bar? That's absurd. You could have a local cage guy build a custom, 4pt bolt-in bar for half that. $2500 typically gets you a full 6pt welded in cage.

I can't believe we don't have something like a Hard Dog setup for the Miatas. Granted there is less linear feet of tubing, but not $1800 worth.

I would love a 4 pt. bolt in. remove rear seats, as its no use for me. i like the hotchkiss design that intergrates it as a rear strut as well. or looks like to me. something how the miatas have is great. would be perfect for a DD/weekend track setup. and since its bolt in anyone can remove it if they need to use the seats. WINWIN
