Hear Tire Rotate
I just recently replaced my tires, wheels and suspension (coilovers, rear LCA's, & front camber plates). I'm not sure if this sound was there before the alignment, but I can now hear my tire rotate at low speeds (rather than at high speeds due to road/exhaust noise becoming too loud). I would say its more on the driver rear tires than anything.
Specs: -225's w/ 18x8.5 & 245's w/ 18x9.5 -Dropped 2" -Tires are tucked in fender *-2.5 camber in the front and -2 in the rears with toe angles .02f and .24R Video of noise: https://vid.me/MWSe Last edited by Zzzquil; 05-09-2015 at 04:36 PM. Reason: Added video of noise |

Sounds like something is scraping on something.

That is what I was thinking. Either something came loose, going bad, or its scraping on something else. Any ideas to what could be the culprit?

Check to see how much clearance you have with the inside of your tire to see if it may be rubbing on the suspension.
Also try raising it up 2" on each side since you have coilovers to see if it's related to how low you are. What tires did you put on? Some tires make a lot of road noise.

Tires: Hankook evo v12's I'll examine the tires for rocks tomorrow. I really hoping it is just a rock stuck in the tire ***I forgot to mention that once I installed the coilovers (KW V3), I had to cut a small portion of the front end links as it was hitting the control arms every-time I went over bumps making a clunking sound*** Last edited by Zzzquil; 05-09-2015 at 07:31 PM. |

It turns out it was my wheel slightly rubbing against the swaybar. My solution is to get Adapters & Spacers to make the wheel give a little more clearance.

1. wheel sizes, including offsets. 2. suspension setup brand, camber plates, alignment etc. 3. tires, including full tire size, width, and aspect ratio. 4. what did you do to fix it and how close is it after fix. Are you using the stock endlinks for the sway bars? |
