@sosick, If u don't plan on tracking or slamming your frs, then get the st coilovers. Best coilovers for under $900. They're having a $100 rebate promotion that ends at the end of this month

I'll agree a spring and strut will be better. Get that and be happy. I bought coilovers and wish I would have went the other way.

I bought used coilovers one time. The seller didn't package them well and they were destroyed on arrival. He left the adjustment knobs in the top of the shocks and they broke off inside. Just a fair warning.

Actualy Megan has recently hired some pretty good suspension engineers, (think from Tein) to revamp their product line. As a direct result, I've heard that their valving for the Spec-RS series is actually pretty good. If so, that would make their kit for our cars one of the best bang for the buck kits on the market. True double adjustment with remotes for under $1500 is pretty much unheard of. YMMV. Worth checking out though.

So...you saying the guy they hired knows his stuff or you saying he was "just an assistant", thus doesn't know crap? It's a common reality that an American working at a Japanese company may be stuck as an "assistant" for years, decades....regardless of how wonderfully competent he/she is...

Assistant is as much speculation as you saying they hired an engineer from tein. Maybe he got fired? Maybe he engineers breakfast burritos?

I would like to see a shock dyno plot and a spring rate test of their springs. (just to start)

I don't really care who they hired from where....

A set was dyno'd at ProParts USA...supposedly. Rumor is that dynos were pretty good. No idea of quality of rest of construction...

Springs are cheap enough to swap out for quality ones like Swift or Hyperco...I would be more interested in the shocks...

Rumors don't really do it for me.

Yes but add Swifts and now your $1500 coilovers are 1800-1900 bucks.
