As an engineer, I take no offense at all to your incredibly accurate comment. Lol.

When two excessively large people manage to walk three across and do the fat person shuffle down a walkway, completely preventing anyone from getting around them, and completely oblivious to the fact that they're giant assholes. I thought they were supposed to walk in single file to hide their numbers.

These are usually the ones that hold their phone up to their faces and talk loudly on speaker phone. God dammit, I don't need to hear every detail about your squalid existence. Put the phone up to your ear and talk like a normal person. This is not a revolutionary concept.

And for some reason they can never hold in their gas and with each step they add more so that you can not escape.

That's the right way to use entrance/merge lanes. FYI.

I usually don't let people in unless they're at the end. Then I let one car in. That is the proper way to use (zipper) and that is the law (DON'T QUOTE ME ON THIS) in some European countries.

Back to my first post.

Those lanes, and ramps, are meant for you to Accelerate to match traffic.

And what is the point of you repeating the obvious?

What I was talking about is:
http://www.dot.state.mn.us/zippermerge/

Stang70Fastback gets mad when people use the lane that ends soon and change at the very end in heavy traffic (at least that would be my assumption).

Because people don't do the obvious. They sit at 40 MPH and then try to merge into 70 MPH traffic at the last second. It causes a lot of problems because they don't understand how to match speed.

Zipper merge and accelerating to match traffic are kind of the same argument.

People don't accelerate to match speed, which makes zipper merging near impossible.
