*Spotted* GTA FR-S/BRZ Sightings - Page 225 - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

I have been made to believe that Twins sightings in the GTA were common now that nobody cared anymore anyway!

Yesterday, eastbound 401, beside the airport I paced a lowered Lava with Scion spoiler, TRD exhaust and stock rims that looked exactly like mine. Asian chick driving and did not even glance over once in the 2 minutes I stayed there. Doubt was anybody from here.

It's the Asian chick thing. They feel uncomfortable with people looking at them. She was probably scared too

Saw this ricer in woodbridge at highway 7 and weston plaza where home sense is. Assuming he works in that asian restaurant cause they always have a lot of nice jdm rides

Ya, I guess that people don't get the meaning of "domestic" in JDM.
Technically speaking even USDM is not correct unless they are made there. It should be USI (import)M.

That's a good point. I only have the Toyota and TRD badges because I think they look nicer than the scion ones. Don't care that I drive a scion, since I haven't bothered changing the interior ones. The irony is that I'd never run a TRD part, with the exception of a shift knob (if they weren't 200 fucking dollars), coolant cap, oil cap and gas cap. But can't justify the money just for TRD bling.

Edit: though the TRD reclining bucket seat is so tempting since they look slick as goose shit in an ice storm, but again, around 3K for a seat that may be a touch better than the stock seats? I think that money would be better spent on just having the stock seats reupholstered.

Honestly, I don't agree. The term JDM has changed. Sure the real meaning is Japanese Domestic Sexy Time Market....but the definition has grown to represent the Japanese car culture in the world now.

People like to associate themselves with JDM and embrace the culture and cars. I don't see anything wrong with that.
