honestly, I've gone to 10 plus dealers who know little of this car and its arrival and its been like this for months. I've visited my local dealership more than 5 times JUST this month, they know me by name now and already know what I'm there for. So, if you're really interested in this car, then you should be patient enough for it. Some of us have been here or following this car for years, so to complain about one more month is somewhat immature. The waiting game is where the Men are separated from the Boys, so man up! lol

If you want some advice, just look for one at another dealer and go out of state if you have to. I have a deposit out of state as my last resort.

If this car fails in the states, Scion dealerships will be the ones to blame, from the first86 program down, there's been stories like this...i feel lucky i got mine without excessive drama...good luck man, hope you can find a dealer that doesnt suck somewhere closeby

Hah, I know that feel except with the BRZ. I am in NY and this has been my dealer experience so far (also have $1000 down).

1. Dealer claims to not know price.
2. Dealer hasn't told me my position on their list.
3. Dealer hasn't told me how many they are allocated.
4. Dealer hasn't contacted me at all since Febrauary except once to tell me they were having a BRZ for show one day in the week.

I would care more but I have been too busy lately to fuss about it. If I don't have any news by the time someone on this forum received their BRZ in NY then I'll just go get my deposit back. I am frustrated but I don't see it being much better anywhere else, plus I'd be at the end of the waiting lists.

I got my vin 30 days ago, infact I believe I was the first on the forum with a FR-S vin, and I'm still waiting.

^that. I am sorry to hear about your experience with that particular dealership. There are 3 Scion dealerships in my region and I only trust and buy from 1 of them.

As far as waiting, I've waited for more than 2-3years like a lot of the members here, so what's another few weeks/months?

Get your money back and go to the biggest Scion in Denver. It's not that far. I'm driving almost 30 miles to the largest in So Cal. I could have driven 15 miles and went to 5 other small dealerships. Call first to find out their FRS availability.

to imply that I have only been waiting for a month would be completely false. I've really had my eye on this car since 2010 or so. The reason behind my frustration is the fact that my delivery date keeps getting pushed further and further back with absolutely no explanation. Combine that with their attitude towards me because I'm young and I'm all around frustrated with the situation as a whole.

Nonetheless, in the grand scheme of things yes, that extra month isn't that long, however, if they would give me some straight up answers I would be much more inclined to work with them and not against them.

I went last night to 3 dealers and talked with them
about the FRS.
First one added 5000.00 to price total of 31 or 32 K
others were about the same.
I don't need one that bad to get screw like that.
Are all dealer stiffing people like this or only here in Florida?

You are probably right on the young part, they do not respect that, and the fact that you came early for the car shows desperation on their end. In their eyes, you'll wait a year if you have to.

Did you sign a contract when you put your deposit? Do you have copies? Is there anything on it that helps you get your deposit back? If so, get it back, or threaten with legal action. Get your money and take it to another dealer.

I was really excited about this car, but after dealing with the sh*ty Scion dealers in S Florida I realized it was not worth my money, I ended up with a Lexus and it just cannot be compared. I am glad I did not put a deposit with my scion dealers because I can imagine the headache I would be dealing with.

The man wants to enjoy his car for the summer! Not after summer's halfway over. I can totally understand that.

I would call the GSM of the dealer and say this: I want you to try to find out anything you can on the status of this car. I want to pick it up as soon as possible so you can get paid for it as soon as possible and I can enjoy it for the summer. My experience here has not left a good impression thus far and if it doesn't start getting better, I will not only to give you a poor score on SSI (Sales Satisfaction Index survey) but I will discourage friends and family from coming here, rather than encourage them. It's your choice.

So I stopped by my stupid Scion dealer today and they told me the absolute earliest I would get the car is mid July. At this point I'm thinking about getting my deposit back and picking up a honda insight. I've never been more frustrated with a dealership in my life, it is like pulling teeth just trying to get this stupid car.

Honestly, all my excitement for this car has completely evaporated, at this point I could really care less. I'm just so mad, I had a feeling when I ordered it that something would go wrong; and everything did. I guess the moral of the story is this: Scion is a cheap brand with dealerships that do NOT work with younger clientele, nor do they give people such as myself any respect.

That's a VERY broad generalization. Not all dealerships are like that. Some are, obviously. I pulled my deposit from one of them, and went to a Toyota Dealership that wanted me as a customer, not just me as a number on their end of month report. When I decide to get a family car, I'll now consider their dealership first. When someone asks where to go, I'll think of them first. THAT is how you sell cars the right way.

I had to shop around, and was worried I'd be stuck waiting, but I have my car now. It took some leg work, and I had to drive out of town to get it, but it was worth it. Hands down.
