Thanks! Yes they certainly did. It blew my mind how similar they feel on the mountain roads. Though the ae86 did brake better but then again my ae86s all had proper pads so I can't really compare till I get some on the frs. The ae86 is forever my favorite car and this one is right up there with it. I've owned many different cars and none ever gave me the same driving experience till this.

You're right about the brakes. Proper pads make all the difference especially on a track where the stock pads don't last long and felt mushy. I ran Carbotechs at the track and they transformed the car, making it feel much better balanced with a firmer pedal and predictable, reliable stopping power without fade. The XP-10's were too aggressive for the street, but there are lots of other street pad choices that work well, are quiet, clean and durable. |

The first owner traded it in on a BMW after about 6 months, and I found it at that dealership gathering dust (not really, it was spotless). Salesman said the 1st owner's wife got pregnant so he had to get something practical. I traded in my '05 G35 on it and then missed it (it was part of me for over 9 years), so I was looking for another and found a nearly identical one, '06 with super low miles (<17k), bought and shipped it from OH to OR. If I could afford 2 cars (payments, insurance, upkeep) I would keep it.
No bites yet - hoping the nice weather will inspire some interest! |

has anyone's illuminated emblems stop working?
my rear has stopped working completely, and my front emblem's LEDs have been going out one by one over several months and now it's on its last LED.

Only the mileage portion of your bumper-to-bumper warranty.
In the States, if a vehicle is out of bumper-to-bumper by time OR mileage before the other term expires, a request for warranty reimbursement is often given after the dealer calls regional HQ for authorization. It's usually between 50%-100% depending on the vehicle service history and whether it was dealer serviced or somewhere else with receipts for OEM parts if DIY. It's worth a shot. Earlier in a month works better since corporate issues warranty slush funds on the 1st of the month so if the district rep burns through their budget early you'll be out of luck. |

We're down one. Mine was officially marked as totaled a month after my accident. At least it took out the car who hit it. FRS > BMW M6

Sorry for that but confirms the urban legend that BMW's are fragile. I'll keep your badge number listed for posterity if that's OK with you. The number stays with the car and owner, dead or alive (but stay healthy, my friends).
