Yeah, that's what a bunch of fellow brz owners at my local autocross said. Until they drove mine. Ripped all of their Springs out for them that day. It's really that much better.

Reminds me of an article I read when looking at mine.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The rear-wheel-drive BRZ provides tight, super responsive handling, and better balance in terms of breaking and suspension for actual performance driving – features typically preferred by some of the more skilled performance drivers.

The WRX is built on and around Subaru’s Impreza model chassis, which carries a lot more weight (a necessity for the AWD.) The car's handling is slightly "numb" to help new drivers have fun and control the vehicle through turns. Put another way, “The BRZ feels like it wants to cut loose and carve some corners, and the WRX wants to drag you kicking and screaming through the same corners with brute force.” This results in a massively fun car to drive, IF you know what you’re doing.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In case anyone was interested. http://www.reply.com/automotive/subaru-brz-vs-wrx/

Regardless, I love mine and how effortless it is to drive. The whole underpowered thing, makes me wonder, whats up with mine. It doesn't have the power of a V8 but has plenty for the size of the car. And can always add that little more with a little tuning. All depends how you drive I suppose.

I'm actually looking at getting rid of my Mustang after 17 years and buying 2015 WRZ Limited this year as our DD drive. Is it wrong to have two WRB cars? Just love the color and the wife is on board with it.

At first I looked at WRZ and thought you mistyped BRZ and wondered why you wanted a 2nd one lol

I know DSOmega has wrx/brz WRB combo. No shame!

That much of a difference huh? I'll have to see if I can find someone who's done it before I mess with mine still

I feel spoiled after reading this thread, did not before.

This is my first everything, Subie, RWD, Manual, so this is all a whole new world for me.

Clutch will still feel vague. See if this thread resonates with your experience.

Good catch, sorry about that.
Lol, guess I was writing BRZ so much the "Z" stuck with me. Correct, looking at the WRX. Of course now I have to decide to go with 2015 or 2016 since they made some changes.

I think the biggest difference is the infotainment system and 18 inch wheels. I'd go with the 2016 if you're buying new!

Guessing I will ,but I do like the darker rims on the 2015 on the WRB. And heck, its the same info system that is in the BRZ which I already know and does suck, but kind of has grown on me. I'll wait for some reviews before I go back into debit. But the wife and I do tend to keep our cars for along, long time.(sold my 91 Firebird after 18 years when I bought the BRZ)

I'm in the exact same boat, sir. First for me in all the same fronts. Came from a '98 Honda Prelude automatic, and while the performance increase is night and day better with the BRZ, I just don't have the perspective that a lot of the other people here have with other cars in the same price range.

Really makes me appreciate this car more every day.
