Has anyone tried the Shell V-power nitro+ gas? I got a keychain in the mail saying they just launched it here and iirc I've seen some stations with the new pump but I haven't needed to fill up yet. Just wondering if anyone else has.

Its re-branded Shell 91.

I use only Mohawk/Husky 94 in my car.

Anyone know a good paint shop? My rear bumper got scuffed at Mcknight station while I was at work. That's the last time I park my FRS at the ctrain...
Usually I go to screamin' paintworks but suggestions are welcome...

Calgary/Edmonton BRZ/FRS thread

Hi there everyone

Long time reader first time poster... Checking in with FRanken-Stein out of Edmonton, today it is Asphalt-ish...Build HERE by this time next week much different.

It has taken two years to build and is going to hit the racetrack at Castrol Raceway May 9/10 in Edmonton at the Northern Alberta Race School.... and I am actually instructing there too

I know all of us are gear-heads - I want to invite all the Alberta FR-S / BRZ owners to hit the track at the North Alberta Sports Car Club Race School on May 9/10 in Edmonton. It is $600+tax, which if you know how much track time is... that is a bargain, two days, professional instruction AND you can qualify to get you amateur race license, then you can do Time Attack, Road Race, Rally, Ice Racing... etc!

On-track exercises initially focus on car control, braking, awarness of weight transfer and vision. As the school progresses, you will drive the full track with an instructor to learn the fastest line around the track, shifting and braking points, smoothness, and other essential skills.

Info for the school is here: NASCC Race School

Anyway, FRanken-Stein will be making its on-track debut this weekend it would be great to have some team-mates out there!

Let me now if you have any Qs! Thanks, Daryl

Update: Still room in the school as of Monday May 4.

It has absolutely nothing that's going to make it any better either way. It's just a marketing ploy to rebrand it and change all the chemical additives to "convince" people its better. Shell 91 chirps even worse on my car than Husky 94.

Yeah, pretty much every gas station here has some kind of alchohol additive and I've only found 94s with alchohol. (You know it's the reason for chirp.) I think only choice is to ignore it or go 91 for alchohol free. I found this place that provides 92 (sketchy) without alchohol additives right outside Calgary in Conrich and it's on my way back home on the ring road so it's not bad.

EDIT: Forgot to say, hi to everyone, been lurking for a while but never posted. Hi everyone!

Ha. Which "instructor" done it?

I actually hit one of those cones going into the stop box on Saturday hard enough to break some tabs off my grill and bumper, and mash a hole in the under tray.

Ouch. Nasty. I thought that tray was aluminum?
It was Mustang Tom who scuffed my car and I think he felt worse about it than I did. The ZII's and KW V3 combination turned in faster than he expected.
