There are several options. The more expensive is to order the US dealer option armrest. You can also get the jdm armrest cheaper. Other options are available as well, can search for it using google and "ft86club + armrest."

analog speedo could be replaced with so many more useful gauges. the touch screen buttons on the radio, maybe its just me but I like to feel the radio and not have to look at it. fuel filler door is on wrong side of the car. body gaps, my driver door is off just enough to notice. I wish they made a stripped out model

[QUOTE=Tromatic;2214206]Nah, I just check in every now and then to see the latest design failure Mr. Tada foisted on us hapless FR-S/BRZ suckers, er, owners. I think we should organize a class-action suit against him and Toyabaru for making us all buy such a lemon of a car. Based on this thread alone I don't see how we could lose.
QUOTE] Know this is an older post but it is quote worthy for my current state of mind: It takes every bit of my will power not to argue a pile of things that people post that they "hate". In fairness to them all, the whole point of the thread is to ask what people don't like but some of them are just ludicrous to me! If all the things people here wanted were added then the what I hate list would consist of "The price".

I've said it before and I'll probably say it again: I love my GT86.
I'll soon be taking it for a 600 km mountain crossing for the first time this year. Any tiny, insignificant annoyances I might have accumulated will be replaced by that silly grin I wear as I make the Pilot Super Sports squeal around every hairpin turn. The car is a stroke of genius, and I am still astonished that such a wonderful and improbable car made it through the gray maze of boring accountants and market researchers -- all the way to my garage. I feel like I owe Tada-san a big hug. Ok, I'm done for now. Feel free to resume what ever it is y'all are doing in here. |

i found a new thing that has been really annoying me lately
the seat belt buckle keeps going through the strap on the seat, so when i put the seat belt down, the buckle gets stuck and i need to feed it through the strap first |

I've had my FR-S about 18 months now. I love it more than any car I've ever had. That being said, the main things that annoy me are the lack of an arm rest and the torque dip. I'll be remedying both of those issues in time though.

I really love my fr-s. There's nothing I hate about it. But I think it's biggest problem is the torque dip, and it's the hardest to fix on your own, requiring significant $ and you risk voiding your warranty and not passing smog. But it can be fixed, which means, Tada!? How bout a factory fix!?

Sometimes when you are accelerating you may notice a short lack of linearity of rate of progress (starting around 1800rpm from memory). A sort of dead feeling.
Hunt for a torque curve graph and you can see a dip in the curve. It can catch you out e.g. if racing so drivers try to keep the revs above the dip. It is not unlike turbo-lag. google & you'll get plenty of info.
