That is what the problem is with social media it throws things out of proportion. You can't guarantee any reason why these people did what they did because you are not them you can only list your opinion. These people have committed serious crimes and deserve to go to jail that is not only my opinion but it's the same in the eyes of the law and the police enforce those laws. I serve my country and if my life is at risk I will very well do what is necessary to protect myself and my fellow soldiers.
You get information from media and publications alike. Yes, stats are somewhat facts, but sometimes numbers don't tell the whole story. You can only draw conclusions in science and physics. Not on sociology and what surrounds it.

I don't understand your gt86 comparison. It's not apples to apples.

If anything, social media reveals truths fastest than corporate media.

Everyone of you only focuses on the rioters, but yet not one person stated that the cops have committed a serious crime and should go to jail.
To many it's just a "bad decision".
I guess it's ok for them to be above the law and ALWAYS have the benefit of the doubt.
We care for them more because they are not "unprivileged animals".

Oh, and I grew up in a bad neighborhood and got profiled a few times, so believe me, I know more than you what their thoughts are.

Those videos you posted only show a part of the whole story you don't know what actually happened. I'm sorry but you have to profile people these days I'll put this as an example. If I'm in Afghanistan and we are patrolling an area known to be crawling with Al-Qaeda you have to profile people otherwise you are putting yourself in danger. If you live in a bad area it's a bad area for a reason and you have to do whatever is necessary within reason to protect yourself and protect other people in that area. Now I'm not saying everyone in a bad town is a bad person but your at a higher risk. It was the same in Vietnam.

Not to discredit your service; I greatly appreciate it, but how many innocent civilians have died because you "thought" they were a culprit? You hear, or don't hear stories like that all the time. Profiling is flawed in nature and can lead to just as much harm as good.
And Vietnam is the worst example to bring up. Tons of innocent lives caught in the middle, villages burned because we couldn't distinguish viet cong from the normal populace. Profiling is flawed in nature.

BTW, those videos more than tell enough about what's going on.

if children and women are carrying weapons how do you know the difference between the Vietcong and a civilian you don't.

It may be property, but these people are taking their anger out on alot of innocent people. Vandalizing businesses and people just cause. This proves nothing so yes, the vandalism pisses me off.

If they are truly mad and want change, do this shit to the police department without harming anyone.

The police will return fire, maybe with a water cannon, maybe with their entire armory.

Just like some of the police we complain about, looting rioters prefer targeting the weak. Nothing but cowardice.

The ignorance in this thread is purely comical.

Freddie Grey was a criminal who ran from the police, resisted arrest and lost his life. If he didn't run, he would still be alive. Plain and simple. Did the police approach him, tackle him, break his neck and then throw him in the wagon? No. Was he profiled? We will never know, but remember the fact that he has quite a long wrap sheet. Am I saying his death is justified? I am not. The point I'm making is that he made a bad decision by breaking the law and these were the repercussions.

Maybe one day people can be responsible for their own actions. People break the law and then blame the police for them doing their job. Now their is a few hundred people out in the streets setting the city ablaze, destroying businesses and homes, and sending people to the hospital. How is it that justified? What is the excuse? Teens are mad because some guy died when he broke the law? Good luck finding some argument defending that.

So if I dont follow a police order's to a tee, I deserve bullet holes in my back or my spine severed...got it. It amazes me how many people in this thread dont trust the government if they said water is wet, but think police are ALWAYS right, no matter how much evidence says otherwise. There's always some bullshit justification.

This is absolutely unacceptable. One of our fellow 86/BRZ owners has his vehicle vandalized and destroyed yet the police don't investigate. On top of that the media doesn't even give it any exposure or acknowledgement. How much longer will we stand for this injustice? I say we all rally our cars together and street race through major intersections and Tokyo Drift all around until our voices (and exhausts) are heard! Boxer power!
