Subaru Road side assistance FTW...

For all of you that were at Boxerfest yesterday and happened to notice a Sterling Silver BRZ broken down close to the main entrance (in front of the autox track), Yeah that was me. Seems i got the dreaded Engine light and Slip light. I cut power to the engine when i noticed the water temp gauge was all the way up. Thankfully Subaru Road Side Assistance towed it back to the Subaru dealership closest to my house. Since it still under the 36k power train warranty it should all be covered. Ill find out more details tomorrow, hopefully its all good news. I've barely owned this vehicle for a month and haven't even made my first payment on it.

Wow, that looks familiar! Good luck! I ended up trading mine in after the engine trouble I had.

Powertrain warranty is 60k miles. The 36k mile warranty is bumper to bumper. Sorry to hear about your bad lemon.

Cool, thanks. Should be getting a call from Subaru in a bit here.

Were you, by any chance, autocrossing when that happened? I recall a light colored twin had issues mid lap. Either way, that's a total bummer.

Nope, not me.

But thankfully it was just a blown radiator fan fuse. BRZ is back on my driveway!
