Can you add the mishimoto cold air intake or any bumper intake to the jackson racing supercharger? Would it make a difference?

I know the kit is intercooler it just seems like you could get cleaner, cold air, then just having an open air filter in the engine bay.
They tested the CAI vs their intake and the results showed little to no improvement on temperatures. I read that somewhere in this thread.

The more users the more of a chance a problem will occur and a thread pops up three, most users of OFT ,admittidely myself, are noobs. We noobs have a lot of questions and make up issues that usually get squashed. Like the guy who leaves his oft plugged in all night and wonders why the battery won't start the next day.

It had its limitations for sure but its a new tuning product and its growing. I hope some day it replaces ecutek because fuck licensing fees and its cheaper.

You pretty much dominate this Jackson thread and I enjoy reading your RD comments but this struck me in a way were I felt compelled to speak up.
We're not in the market of offering/recommending unfinished or "beta" type products, and that is still the stage OFT is in.

When the product is mature, we will re-evaluate. At the time of our evaluation, OFT was completely unacceptable as a product that CSG could retail.

The analagy I would make, is the Jackson Racing Supercharger is to another Rotrex kit, as Ecutek is to OFT.

whats the market share for gt86 users using the OFT vs ecutek? that would be an interesting data point considering the odds. Market share or not don't act as though the canned OFT tunes or the platform itself is garbage. You offer a canned CARB tune as yourself. The OFT is a great tuning platform and made many users love the product. If I was someone new stumbling into this thread they would maybe assume you crafted the Jackson kit. But you didnt, you didnt go through the hardships of creating your own kit and the failures that follow. Whats so immature about the product that you cant give it credit? They didnt make a canned CARB tune to compete? Because a canned OFT Jackson tube is no different that a canned ecutek tune... and you know it

Quite frankly, we don't care about market share. We care about quality products that deliver/perform/fit as advertised, down to the fine details. If you think otherwise, then you don't understand our philosophy. Unlike so many other vendors on this board, we're not in this for money, so we have no desire to push high margin, sub-par product. On the other hand, how many other vendors on this board offer the level of support that we do, whether its a product we offer or not?

If you take a closer look at the products we DO like, I'd say ALL of these products combined have less than 0.1% market penetration.

A canned OFT tune cannot become CARB legal with the current capabilities of the OFT, although I am not at liberty to disclose why.

Wrong. I've personally done it, it went fine.

Wrong again, see above. The end user can also edit the tunes themselves, so this is WAY off.

@DeliciousTuning sums it up perfectly.

"0 ecutek issues. Plenty of OFT issues.

You're getting a JRSC, not a KWSC, right?
With a device that the end user does the vast majority of the work, people are bound to get confused. 99.9% of problems are user error. It is extremely rare to see a "problem" that has anything to do with the device, or tunes themselves. Grow up, pull your head out of the hole that is in the sand and have a good look around. You should perhaps do a little reading before you make these hilarious claims that make you look a tad....silly. You didn't answer my question, care to try again?

Back on topic, anyone with the JRSC running an EL header around the LA area?
I'm thinking about switching from UEL to EL.

You'll gain 3-5hp peak, that's it.

Officially, no, but as it's undetectable, it's a moot point.

There are only a few things that ECUtek can do that OFT can't, but the actual tuning part of it is the same. Being able to switch from multiple maps is just handled differently (you reflash instead of changing the map that's in the ECU).

OFT has ongoing development. This doesn't make it an "incomplete" product, just one that's very well supported.

Ultimately tuners are going to prefer the tuning software that can be locked as to protect their work.

All the "issues" on the forums with OFT are minor. It's like me asking how many people with blown engines are running ECUtek...

I'm more looking for the change in sound. I guess I just need to find someone with an EL header in person. I'm getting a little tired of my motorboat.
