Torn on Antenna Options.

I was about to order the Visual Garage Shark Fin antenna, but then came across the Beat Sonic one. The BS is $45 MORE than the VG one. Personally, I like the looks of the VG over the BS. MY only issue is I can't seem to find anywhere that shows the dimensions of the VG. A friend of mine has the VG on his GR STi and loves it. It works and looks great. Both come painted in your cars OEM color.

The next part I'm also torn on. Color. I ordered a satin white pearl BRZ, however, I'm planning on doing a gloss black vinyl for the roof. So do I order a white antenna or black. I did this on my old TL Type S and tried to vinyl the antenna on it and it didn't work out too well, so I bought a black roof antenna and that completed the look.

I didn't see it anywhere, but has VG even tested their shark fin on the FRS/BRZ? I know that Beat Sonic stated that the base of the US version of the BRZ might me a little different than the FRS, so even between the twins there might be fitment differences.

I would call before ordering the VG and see if they have test-fitted yet...Beat Sonic has already confirmed fitment of their product on the FRS.

PERRIN is actually working on an antenna, and it will be ready soon! It'll look similar to our ALTA and PERRIN antennas that are CNC aluminum.

now my issue is with the Beat Sonic. In the Group Buy thread, they state their antenna may NOT fit the USDM BRZ antenna due to the HD radio feature. I haven't seen anywhere/anyone get one for their USDM BRZ to verify this.

Has anyone else seen this somewhere on here?

I've seen somewhere on this forum that BeatSonic fin shark antenna doesn't fit BRZ. And I understand why - BRZ antenna base includes sat radio antenna, and the base is bigger compared with FR-S. I can snap a picture of mine to compare, if someone will post FR-s base here.

Because shark fin will cover up sat radio antenna and will interfere with reception, I opted out for Cusco 2 inch antenna. Looks like every other car right now has those fins - not cool anymore

P.S found that thread with BeatSonic antenna issue: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7804 And they have removed BRZ from Beat-sonic site as an option for this antenna too
