Is 77 really that bad? I'll be hitting the Dragon the week of 5/13 and planned on going that way. I love driving 77 south. I've only been as far south as Ripley on it this spring though.

It's not that bad at all. Just watch for any pot holes and you'll be fine. I drive 77 all the time. Graduated from Ripley High actually.

Most of the worse potholes on 77 are on the shoulders of the road, the ones in the middle are no bigger than a tires width. you'll be fine.

I'm in Hurricane. Mine is a white FR-S with gold PF01s. I have around a half dozen coworkers with FRSs, too: yellow RS1.0 in Milton, white FR-S in Winfield, white FR-S around Rio Grande, black FR-S in Point Pleasent. There is also a gray FR-S, red FR-S, white monogram, and blue BRZ in the lot, but I don't know the owners. I'm mostly back and forth between hurricane and TMMWV, though.

I work mostly in Flatwoods and live in weston. From time to time I get pulled to Morgantown. Do you have a local shop you trust with your BRZ ? I know youtube makes everyone think they can do it all but I'm contemplating putting header and exhaust on my self and if that goes well an HKS gt v3. Last shop I had install a magnaflow on my challenger didn't seem too professional and watching what they did didn't seem too difficult. I just dont have a lift. Thinking about buying some nice jacks or something lol. I work in sales commission all commission based so as I earn it will go to the frs. What do you do in Motown?

Shop suggestion

Jack,

I'm very pleased with Chipps Auto in Fairmont, WV... Now this is not a dedicated Subi shop but they have a young man there who is a big Subaru fan...! The shop is very professional and well run and is the only shop I've found I can trust since moving to WV from Fl a couple of years ago...

I do most of my own wrenching except for those few items that I don't have the tools or knowledge base...

Ed

Well, I'm glad I found this post. I am right near the Strike Zone in Huntington as well. I have the white FRS and it's usually at the mall.

Looking to buy the HKS v3 supercharger tomorrow. I have no idea where to take and will probably just do it myself. :/

So far, I just have header and exhaust. Really wanting some gold wheels, but no idea on what to get.

One of the admins of Mid Atlantic 86 Club lives in VA and does turbo/S/C kit installs for $500. He has an Innovate Twin Screw himself and it's awesome. He does full install minus tuning. You'd have to find a tuner somewhere.

As far as gold wheels, up to you depending on size. I went Ambit RE02s in bronze and they kinda look like gold.

I'll keep an eye out for your car when I'm running around Barboursville with my kiddo.

You like gold, eh?

17x8 Enkie PF01s painted Subaru BBS Gold by a shop in Teays Valley. They were black originally, but I wasn't crazy about them. Love them in gold, though.

If you want to really make me jelly, get some Prodrive GT1s in gold.

I'm back on the stock wheels and rubber for winter now.
