Point blank, this intake in 100 times better than stock in terms of sound and performance. I'm happy with it, and so are many others. I'm not here to make blind claims of one company's intake being better than others and neither should you.
Are you tuned? Do you have logs showing your AFR or improvements in flow with less turbulence over stock? Was your MAF recalibrated for the changes?

This is getting off topic. You can argue about performance gains in another thread. Please leave this at what it is. This thread only serves to inform others of an intake revision from Injen as it wasn't made well aware to me and might not be obvious to others.

Thanks again guys.

Ignore the idiots in here...glad you got it straightened out.

Maybe change the thread title, so someone can search for this in the future, if need-be.

Nice looking intake, any reason why you went with an SRI over a CAI

I bet if you dyno it compared to stock you're not making any more power, and possibly less, than if you had just gotten a drop in filter.

Sound, sure, but no better for power than the stock system. It's been dyno proven many times over by independent tests.

I actually sold mine so I could run an E85 tune on the stock airbox.

I will say it was easily noticeable increase over the stock with a k&n. I have driven both stock intake (with k&n) on a stock tune, 91 and 93, as well as injen intake on a stock tune, 91 and 93 tune over the period of about 3 months. Without a doubt anything over 4k pulled a lot harder. Under 3.5k was softer than stock, but oft tune helped that out. Everyone will say k&n does the job, and for $40 it's a good bang for the buck. However it did not perform anywhere near what the difference I felt with the injen. I did have the updated version like yours.

Unfortunately the real world data says otherwise. Unless you had a dyno tune for your specific setup, this may just be placebo.

Once again to be honest, this intake system is one of the worst out there.

Get a tune, and watch your MAF scaling. That intake system cannot maintain a good MAF voltage. It fluctuates all over the place.

Nobody will read the FYI beacuse 85% of the people on this board know not to use this particular intake system...not to kick you while you're down or anything (down on power, get it?!? PUN!)

Did injen mention anything about updating customers that bought the original design? I don't have it on my car anymore (went fi) but was just curious.

Dynos don't lie, and they don't support what you're saying at all. Sorry.

Nothing to be sorry about, the top end felt sluggish switching back to stock, and more aggressive with the intake on. Just my experience
