One Michelin super sport issue

Put my Michelin super sports a month ago. This is my first time riding on a performance tire and there is one huge disappointment.

These tires seem to pick up rocks and dirt, and kick them around the wheel well way more than I expected. It's an embarrassing and troublesome sound to hear. I do live in New England and a lot of roads haven't been swept yet and pot hole rocks are still everywhere. I expect that is largely part of the issue, but I never expected it to be as bad as it is.

Does anyone else has this problem and is it common among other summer performance tires?

That's really what my question was asking, thank you. Quite unfortunate but I expect it to be more tolerable when the roads are better swept.

a friend of mine has RS3's on his 350z and they chuck rocks all the time. They aren't as bad when they warm up though

Yeah, with them being my first sticky tire, I just never expected it.

Unfortunately, the only place where it is really a problem (problem or rather just an annoyance) is my girlfriend's road. It's a backroad that is riddled with potholes and they haven't cleaned it up yet. I'll drive there 3-4 times a weeks.

I guess I just have to deal.

as everyone else said, it's normal. i just put my PSS on last week and experience the same thing. i was already aware of this though so it didn't surprise me.

there really is nothing you can do about it.

Garage
stick·y
ˈstikē/Submit
adjective
1.
tending or designed to stick to things on contact or covered with something that sticks.

When you clean them, the "stickyness" will come back.

It is what it is. If you want grip, you need sticky. If you get sticky, loose dirt/rocks/gravel, etc. will be picked up.
