You can compare that to a Tomei Type 60S / 60R which retail for approx $1000 (R12,000) and HKS or GReddy exhausts that retail for Approx $1,500 (R18,000)
None of the above includes "Front Pipes" either... I guess you get what you pay for... The BRZ performance exhaust is great value for money, but is in no way the 'best quality' or an 'extremely high quality exhaust', Therefore I do not think the TMSS exhaust's can be compared to it, (Just Jacked my own Thread )TMSS exhausts can be compared to the RGM (R8k-R9k) exhaust options, which I personally think that TMSS is much better quality from the looks of their work done, R12k worth...Im not sure it will be effective on our FA20 (non turbo) engines... Here are some of their catbacks (TMSS) ...(As I said, You get what you pay for here) Last edited by FT_86_SM_GP; 04-21-2015 at 12:53 AM. |

It looks like it belongs on the outside of the car! lol You would really want to stare at those pipes all day long.
I just wont be able to justify the cost of that for maybe 1 or 2kW more

I assume if you go FI (Turbocharged), it would be beneficial having a better exhaust setup... |

Outter diameter only. I was only taking a casual look out of boredom.

You usually don't get 63mm inner diameter (Which I assume - as I could not find any) (Hence when I saw the post "The BRZ pipe is approx. 63 mm, OEM 54 mm" I assumed both measurements were inner diameter measurements, which resulted in my Loose Flange confusion) ![]() - 1) you get a 63.5mm(2.5inchs) outer diameter which makes the inner diameter 60.5mm (BRZ Exhaust) - 2) The 60mm outer diameter has an inner diameter of 57mm (Tomei UEL / Kamak UEL) - 3) The 57mm(2.25inches) outer diameter has an inner diameter of approx 54mm(Stock Header and exhaust / Borla UEL) I ended up purchasing a PML(Private Label Manufacturing) overpipe which has an outer diameter of 2.5inchs (63.5mm) and inner diameter of 60.5mm...to compliment the De Graaf BRZ exhaust. Did not end up going with TMSS, I excused their arrogance when the they called the BRZ exhaust a "Joke" ![]() After seeing the work they do (Which I admire) - I understand (and I am a Floyd Mayweather Fan...) But I asked a question(Ie. For their advice) on gasket thickness/sizes (As I would have liked to purchase my own) and got no reply, followed up with another email, no reply. (Maybe they are busy...6 days past...could not wait longer.) Maybe its because I do not have a BMW M4 or Skyline GTR - not that urgent enough to reply to ![]() No hard feelings towards them, Business is business, one cannot sit around all day answering emails... I still have a lot of respect for their work... The PML overpipe costed me($195) almost double the price of the TMSS quote(R1k), but rather pay extra and get quality service delivery with FT-86SpeedFactory, right, One email to them to check on availability of products, they reply in minutes with a picture that my order is ready and kept aside (before I even ordered on their site), Seamless, Friendly, World class service delivery...works for me. Looking forward to this Mod...(Full Header back system, Life is too short to stay stock) Will try to get a before and after results of the Overpipe. I just hope to extract maximum aggressive exhaust notes. Last edited by FT_86_SM_GP; 04-23-2015 at 12:29 AM. |

Been doing tests on 3 types of headers and find the Kaymak Header, Overpipe combo supplied by Phoenix Performance, at this stage the best affordable option.
The BRZ exhaust supplied by Subaru is still producing best results. We have tested the new Powerflow Header zorst system for about 5000km, which requires a few tweaks, which will be available at extremely competitive price shortly. |
